OX Pro Stainless Steel Plasterers Trowel - 127 X 356mm

I bought this to have a go and do the plastering myself when my usual and extremely good plasterer was booked out for 3 months….The trowel came recommended by a YT channel Plastering for Beginners. Price is great. I did have a regular trowel that I had used to render a chimney which worked but was not great. That said nobody gets up close to a chimney stack two floors up. This trowel was fantastic, I got the flex and the going on, spreading and then polishing worked very well. I bought a super flex trowel but found the Ox to be better for me to use. Yes my results need touch ups at the edges etc., easy done, but the job while not perfect is perfect enough and I can now do the rest of the house with improved technique and confidence. Best £30 tool I ever bought for results….

This is not a bad trowel . I used it on a whole house skim as my favourite trowel got damaged . however in my opinion it’s only good for the final finish . It’s nicely balanced and works well but my matshalltown gold is better for application . It polishes well no judders no heel digs etc . Professionals might need something better and a little bigger although I like 14 on ceilings 16 on walls . All in all not bad . No dints bents nicks etc arrived perfect . Needs a wallet for storage looks like it could get nicked on the edges I took the corners off before use .

Good trowel for the money takes a bit of time to break it in or use it for a bit of sand and cement render that works well
