I was looking for a basic floor lamp that would be tall, bright and adjustable in terms of the light itself and brightness level. This lamp fits the bill.The base and upright are constructed of steel and are weighty and sturdy, so no worries about tipovers.The light can be adjusted to point different directions.There is selector switch on the upright itself that functions the power switch and brightness adjustment.The lamp was easy to put together in just a few minutes and works just as it should.Recommended

If you’ve never had the pleasure of putting together a lamp, I suggest you not start with the item.The instructions are very bare with little to no direction given in what goes where, at least not in great detail, but at least the assembly process only takes about ten minutes.You’ll need to connect t the lamp arm first, starting at the top and screwing in the corresponding poles, move your way to base. Add the bottom pole last; the chord will simply hang to the side. Assembly the shade using either ring on either dude and snap into place with the small inner latches provided. Lastly, ins res the ring attached to the where the light will screw in, attach the shade with the small piece removed on the inside. Add the bulb and you’re done.Sets up easily enough but unless you’ve done this before it isn’t necessarily the easiest to figure out. Like that it has three shades of lighting. I’d rather tall and industrial looking as a final product, so it will probably end up in my office area.Also like the fact that it was easy to assemble, as far as screwing everything together and that the switch is high enough to reach above the level of the top of the couch.
