I purchased the sword for self defense and protection when I go to the woods. It's a double edge sword it fits the purpose. It's frontal heavy. The handle could have been just little bit longer like a katana so I can use both hands. It came very sharp from the box. The sheath has a side loop to carry by waist belt or a shoulder back strap which is a plus. Some reviews says they use the sword for chopping woods. This is double edge sword design for flesh & bones. Use an old fashioned machete instead. After all why ruined a good quality sword. My friends are impressed. They like the look, style, quality & functionality. We tested the sword with an unripe watermelon and chopped it in half with ease 🍉. Great for self defense and protection at home. Pros: - Well packed and secure in its product box. - Sleek, attractive design. - Definitely functional and battle-ready. - Nice grip. Cons: - A little point heavy, not well balanced - Arrives blunt and needs extensive sharpening - The logo on the sheath limits mounting options. You can only hang it with the handle on the left unless you want the logo upside down or hidden. Conclusion: Overall, a good purchase. If you are going to use this for rencons, RP, etc., maybe consider the aesthetics of the hard plastic handle (and the 'made in China' engraving on the base of the blade and prepare to cover-wrap it. If you are going to use this for practical purposes then be prepared to spend some time sharpening the blade and then more time practice swinging it to get used to the balance.

Excellent blade. Nice weight. Did not come super sharp but i made it razor sharp in ten minutes with a wet stone. Solid blade. Would recommend. Very nice sheath. Sheath is very thick and durable

Good sword! Got this for my buddy's birthday and he loved it. We took it into the back yard and hacked at some wooden planks and some logs and the blade stayed tight and true. It didn't have a cutting edge right out of the box but it was sharp enough to split the planks and cut into the logs. 10/10 would buy again.

I purchased this modern day sword to accompany my other two, which are in the original forms, as symbols of my ancestry to pass on to a family member when I pass. Extremely sturdy piece, balanced weight, and fairly priced. Comfortably fits the hand as it should. And I know its performance would be exceptional, were I to use it. This short sword is well crafted but needed extensive sharpening to be able to cut. It thrusts well out of the box and this is probably more of a stabber than a slasher because the blade is too thick to be an efficient slasher. This is not a sophisticated blade because it is basically a lawnmower blade with a handle. It is quite weighty but the grip helps you keep a handle on this chonky boi. The sheath is quality and for the price it fitting of the overall quality.

I absolutely LOVE this sword!!! It's a bit top heavy, but I have no problems with that at all. The black isn't black finish, it's raw steel. It's also bigger than it appears in the pictures. The handle feels like industrial rubber so I have no questions about if it will survive the tests! The blade is sharp but could use a bit of grinding. The bend isnt too much and it well compensates for the swings, and its easy to use. All in all, it is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL sword for an amazing price.
