There are other remote options available to purchase that are less expensive and have different command 'configurations', but this remote most closely matches the original. The only discernible difference between this remote and the original is on the backside of the remote, with the battery access point. This one is actually easier to access, with the slider engagement portion directly connected to the slide out tray. The remote has a battery already in place and worked right out of the box, I just pointed it at the Bose and everything worked fine. Might be the more expensive choice for a replacement, but you don't have to rethink how to use it because it works exactly the same way as the original one that came with my Bose Wave System, which I purchased more than 20 years ago.

I might have gotten a bad one. These things do happen. Remains to be seen. After some haggling I have a replacement on the way. It worked, as long as you were 2 feet or less away. That's why I think it's just defective, if that's the case I will amend my 1 star rating.

Activated the battery by removing the plastic barrier that did not permit the battery to complete the circuit and it worked on the first time.

No programming hassles. Battery was already installed. Worked perfectly straight out of the package! Great purchase!
