Snug lace or they’ll bulge on side
These are so cute. I got the confetti ones. I thought that they would be silver with confetti sparkles, but they’re a little more of a Pearlish color which I like. I’m a size 8 shoe. I got the size 8 skate. They fit very well. They’re not too heavy perfect for beginners. These are made very well good quality. I feel like I got my moneys worth. One thing I will say is that you have to make sure that you lace them up tight if you don’t you will get a gap or a bulge on the side. I also have a pair of Impala rollerblades that I absolutely love. I will continue to buy from them.

Beginner here!
I've tried a few different brands, and they have been so-so. I have thick ankles and broad feet, so s some brands didn't work some brands didn't work out, even with lacing specific ways. I recently treated myself to a pair of Impala Roller Skates, and I can't help but gush about how stunning they are! These roller skates are not just a delight for the eyes; they're also incredibly functional and offer an outstanding skating experience. It's like wearing a piece of art on your feet! Comfortable Fit: Beyond their beauty, these skates are designed for comfort. The interior padding provides excellent ankle support, and the fit is snug without being too tight. I can wear them for hours without discomfort, essential for long skating sessions. The laces and adjustable strap ensure a secure fit, allowing me to focus on enjoying my time on the rink or the pavement. Smooth and Maneuverable: Impala Roller Skates glide effortlessly, offering a smooth and enjoyable ride. The wheels have just the right balance of grip and slide, making them perfect for indoor and outdoor skating. I appreciate how easy it is to maneuver in these skates, whether I'm practicing tricks, dancing, or simply cruising around the neighborhood. Durable Construction: These skates are not just a pretty face – they are built to last. The high-quality materials and sturdy construction give me confidence in their durability. Love these skates!!
Super comfortable and easy to use for beginners. I’ve had them for almost 2 months now and use them at least 2x per week. They were a little tight on the sides of the toes at first, but have since formed to my feet and adjusting the laces near the toes helped (so it wasn’t as tight). True to size. I wear a size 11 and the 11 skates have a tiny bit of room at the front of the toes, but fit great. I don’t use the hooks that go up the sides of the ankle, so my ankles can move a bit more - but still feel very supported. All around great skates for a beginner without having to spend too much. I love that they have fun colors. Chose the white ones because they looked like the pair I owned when I was 8 years old :)

Beautiful boots!
I waited a few months to write this review, because I read about a concern with Impala boots separating at the heel, but I'm happy to report that I have not experienced this issue with my skates, so either I got lucky or the company has resolved the issue. Hopefully it's the latter. Just in case, the skates do come with a 3 month warranty. Aside from that, these boots are holographic beauties, and I get so many compliments every time I skate in them! They are especially mesmerizing to little girls. I added cheap vinyl toe caps that I also purchased from Amazon to protect the toe. I have narrow feet and wear a size 6-6.5. I ordered these in a size 6. They were a tiny bit snug at first, but after a couple sessions, they fit perfectly. The boot is well lined and cushioned and quite comfortable, but not breathable. So it's probably better to get a leather boot if your feet are particularly sweaty. I wear them with ultra light wool hiking socks. If you have wide feet or bunions, you can size up and also look up different ways to lace up your skates. The stock wheels are pretty decent for both indoor and outdoor use, though I did end up switching them out for some Radar Energy 78A wheels for bumpy pavement. The stopper is not adjustable, but you definitely need to adjust the trucks before skating or the wheels will feel super stiff and hard to roll. Make sure you order a skate tool and YouTube how to use it. Overall, I think these skates are a great value for beginners!

Great if you're trying to decide if you wanna take up skating as a regular hobby
It's been 20 years since I was last on skates and I wasn't fully sure if I wanted to do this regularly. I knew good skates would start at the $150 mark, so I went for impalas because they straddled the "not too expensive but also not too sketchy line." Size: I'm a true-to-size 7.5 in women's shoes. The ball of my door runs wider but my heels and ankles are narrow, making most wide fit shoes too big for the rest of my foot. I got a size 8 and it was perfect. They are snug, end just above my toes, but don't crush anything. Boot: this boot would be best with someone with more of an average/narrow foot. While I *can* use them for hours with my wide ball, the boot is just narrow enough for me to wish I had something more comfortable. It starts to feel squeezed in not a great way and I wish I had inserts to make the foot bed more comfortable. The boot is pretty stiff and provides a lot of ankle support. That said, it's so stiff that maneuvering is limited. Ive found that I no longer lace it up all the way. I'll lace it to the first set of hooks and leave the rest undone so I have the flexibility to bend when crouching or making turns. I've only used these for....10 hrs of skating so far so I can't say whether or not the boot will break in in a satisfactory manner just yet. Wheels and trucks: the factory setting for the wheels and trucks were TIGHT. Made it harder for the wheels to roll as well as they should and the trucks were so tight that turns were harder. This is totally fixable. Watch a YouTube video and learn how to loosen them in a safe way. After loosening things, skating is easier. This isn't unusual though. Some companies just ratchet things tight and if you skate for any period of time with any brand you're gonna want to adjust things to your preference. Laces: these bad boys do NOT come loose when skating. I tie them, skate for a couple hrs, and they're still tight AF when I'm done Would I get them again or recommend them to a beginner: Listen, I've heard all about the production quality of these skates and heard about the boot separating. That sucks. Hard. I haven't experienced that myself and hope I never do. But I went in with my eyes wide open. I KNOW this isn't the best skate. But I wasn't looking for the best beginner skate. I was looking to tip toe into a hobby instead of investing big for skates that collect dust. They served their purpose. I'm fully invested and after a few weeks I'm now looking to upgrade to something that fits my foot better, is suited for the kind of skating I want to do (indoor casual skating and fun dancing at the rink), and will hold up for a couple years at least. I also didn't want to use these for so long that I do become another Impala statistic and have the boot separate and make me fall when skating. I'm leaning towards the Chaya Melrose or Sure Grip Boardwalks at the moment as my Impala replacement. In conclusion, these are fine for short term beginner use. And maybe you'll be one of the people who never have to worry about anything falling apart. But I would say this is better suited for people who are trying to learn from the beginning, or have skated before and need to get their legs back under them, or for people who are just trying to figure out if they want this as a hobby or not. This isn't a long term product. And that's fine. Again, I'd rather spend $70 or whatever on "just ok" skates than $200 on an abandoned hobby. Also, now I have backup skates.

Very good roller skates
These roller skates are amazing! My wife loves the pink color, it's absolutely gorgeous and the design with the pattern makes them stand out. They’re not only stylish but also very comfortable and smooth to ride.

Classic wheels!
I grew up on quad skates and prefer them to rollerblades. I bought these to replace a 25-year-old pair of classic Roller Derby lace-ups for outdoor skating, and they are a major upgrade. The wheels are big and soft enough to ride out sidewalk cracks and loose gravel on asphalt and I can skate much faster on these than on my old Roller Derby skates, which have smaller, harder wheels and soft boots. The boots are comfy and have decent padding (you will probably want to wear at least a medium-weight sock) and lace quickly. I wear a 6.5-7 shoe and bought these in size 7. If you have a wide foot you may find the toe box a tad narrow. Finally, these are adorable and your friends will be jealous. I paid $99, think this is a decent mid-range skate for casuals. Now I just need a tutu and some cuter socks.
