Q: How far up the calf do they go? Many thanks.

Hi, if you pull them up fully they go about half way up the calf. So below the widest part but they seem to stay up OK. I've got quite big calf's and narrow ankles so finding comfy socks has always been a nightmare. They either fall down or cut off the circulation! The back only other ones I've found are the Halls soft tops, but I reckon these are much better in every way. Hope this helps.

I would say that medium would describe them best, as you can get extremely thin cotton socks or thicker woollen ones and these are in between those I would say. They are extremely comfortable and I find them suitable all year round. Also good value, highly recommended.
