H66cm Howden Solar Powered Cascading Water Feature Fountain by Primrose

Very pleased with this solar water feature. We have a small garden and it looks great amongst the plants. It is well made and works as soon as the sun hits the solar panel, it is just as described and looks even nicer, the only resin part is the flowerpot, the rest is metal. I like the way the water trickles down the funnels of flowers. It only works when the sun is shining, but that does not matter to us as we wouldn't be sitting in the garden anyway unless it was a sunny day. It could do with a few more pebbles than those enclosed, but I already had some extras to add to them. Would recommend, especially if you have a small garden.

Fountain looked amazing when we set it up, we noticed the tiniest fleck of shadow on the solar panel would cause it to stop though and thought that was a bit extreme. Day 2 and it’s not working at all despite being in bright direct sunlight. Clearly a faulty item, however, we have to pay to send it back which is extremely disappointing given it’s hardly our fault they sent a faulty item. Fountain itself is lovely, the solar and pump are cheap and not reflecting the price.

Its lovely as a sculpture, even better as a water feature. Its tall enough to not be obscured by plants and makea trickly sound thats quite pleasant, it only works in direct sunlight though, so you have to move the solar panel around to catch the sun. The instructions are woeful though. Its just bottom, put in pump, put on lid (with sculpture on) line up holes, fill with water through hole (about 4 litres), put on stones to weigh lid down. I wound the pump wire around one of the fronds and wedged it in to stop it dropping into the bottom of the pot. Dont add spike to solar panel as you need to move it round to catch the sun, it has a long wire fortunately.

Lovely design, but poor performance. Only works in bright sunlight and switches off as soon as a cloud comes over.

I was after a 'non tacky' solar water feature, and this one fits the bill. It looks good and I'm very pleased with it. The only negative is that it does only work when the sun is on the large solar panel, there is no battery to store the power to turn it on and off when you want to.

I bought this fountain last July and didn't post a review at that time.Nothing much to say really, it looks good and worked well. 9 months later the pump/solar panel stopped working. I contacted the seller and they said it would be a while due to the problems that most suppliers are going through right now with Covid-19. I was not in a hurry.Four days later the replacements arrived, four days later! This is excellent customer service to say the least.It works better than before as the solar panel is a newer model, cannot thank you enough.

Disappointing, as you cannot have it running unless the sun is shining full pelt. No water feature running in the evening as no sunlight. No waster running daytime if cloudy or even if you walk in front of it, it stops running. Fancy making a water feature with no battery to store power for use in the UK.I had a replacement as the first one was full of metal swarf clogging up the holes.Not worth the money as it's not a cheap feature. It's lovely when running but let down for the aforesaid reasons

I bought this as a gift for my mum - I was a little apprehensive about how well a solar fountain would work, but it really is great.If it isn't full sun, of course it doesn't work, but it looks fantastic in the garden, the mechanism and all the workings are hidden really well int the base and the solar panel is dead easy to unplug in the winter to stop it freezing up.She is really pleased with it and in terms of function, its fantastic. We're going to purchase another for mother-in-law.
