D-Tap to Double-Sided NP-F550/970/570/770 Dummy Battery Power Adapter Compatible for LED Light, Feelworld,Atomos Ninja/Shinobi Monitor, Hollyland Wireless Video Transmission(Thicker Version)

Ok, so I purchased this dummy batt to try and get power to mii friends BlackMagic, because he's missing that little screw piece that goes on the side for the DC input to screw in and hold into place. Unfortunately, regardless of the responses I received from asking the community saying it should work, this dummy batt IS NOT compatible with the BM Video Assist. I should note that this is mii first tyme working closely with the BlackMagic, so I'm becoming more quaint with all its features. The video assist does not take any form of NP F battery, so that was mii problem from the get go LOL *Pictures attached.I'm giving this product a solid 5 stars still, because of its potential usefulness in the future for mii other cinema cameras that (I already know) takes NP F batts! So, I figured why return it when I can still use it? And, other film makers that I may collaborate with that may run low on NP F batts while filming? I already tested it out (on mii monitors that accept NP F) and it works great! *Sorry, no pictures because I'm in a rush and need to leave for a meeting lolGreat product overall, though! A wonderful accidental purchase is what you can call this! :)

This thing sits between my Cineview and whatever monitor I'm using, and plugs in to my v-mount at the back of the rig.I ordered the thick model, since there was some question about what gear I'd be using it with, and I think I appreciate the versatility. The space between the two units is a little large, but I'm not sure why I'd want them closer aside from aesthetics. From a usability, heat, and access perspective, this is probably perfect.The locking power cord is a big plus. The little carrying bag is cute, but probably unnecessary for anyone at this level of pro/prosumer equipment.I DO wish the Dtap was angled the other direction, but it truly doesn't matter and depends on how your battery has its port oriented.So... I'd buy it again! In fact, I might have to since I have more than one working rig.

Having the right power connections for your rig can be tricky to have everything covered. This unique piece of gear really helps me with that issue. Basically I can place this between my field monitor and a large 950 NP-F battery and I get a ton of more power connections like D-tap, USB C and even a DC jack.This is the kind of thing that is indispensable for those of folks that need a solution like this. This isn't going to appear to a large majority of shooters. Really only for those guys shooting mobile and lightweight as possible.

This is a handy little dummy battery. I like the locking plug and having the option to flip it over so that you can power from either side of the dummy battery is genius, making it so that you can accommodate release buttons. I opted for the larger version and you can see in the pictures how much clearance I have. Probably could have gotten away with the smaller form factor, but who knows what I might need to use it on down the road. It powered up just fine and the usb C out also worked just fine. I will say though, I have not tested whether or not it will power a camera through the USB out, but I don't think I'd chain something like that anyway. All in all, a very good offering.

The media could not be loaded. The dummy battery fits perfectly on ninja and receiver however, the D-tap does not fit good on my neewer battery. It keeps following out of the battery and I have to tape it during video shoots. The pins are really small. Is there an option for larger pins?

Seems like it works as intended. A bit hesitant to order products from companies that seem to just throw letters together to make a name, but so far the adapter is working well. It wont get too much heavy use, will be used mostly indoors so should last.

Pretty sure every piece of gear I have that takes an NP battery I also have a D-Tap cable for… but it is always nice to have a backup on hand like this. You never know!Tested and works on an AndyCine 4K monitor - tried it on the cheapest piece of equipment I had first before going to the expensive ones, just in case.

This dummy battery really is the last one you will ever need. It is designed to make contact on 3 sides, meaning there is no NP compatible device that this wont work with, regardless of the orientation of the contacts. When I ordered it, I didnt realize that even the small end of the device could be inserted. This has unlimited uses for any device that normally uses NP battery power which you would like to switch over to Vmount or Gold Mounts.Oh, and its super well built. A very nice product by all measures.
