I have had tons of different Phone holders in the past, From window mounts dash mounts vent mounts, grippers sticky etc. None have stood the tests of time. no matter what the prices were.So i was Desperate for a new unique holder, And i found this one. It was Fast delivery thanks to "Prime" the unit is small and i love the design, the ball unit sticks to any flat surface ( even the bubble vinyl on my merc) then the magnetic disc attaches to the ball in practically any angle, then you use 1 of the 2 discs provided to attach to the phone. this can be either by the 3M tape to the back or inside the phone behind the case, its very thin so doesn't show or prevent case from closing fully. then just hold the phone to the magnet and bingo its attached.I have been using this for a while now and i have found it Superb, it stays put no matter how rough you drive, even the famous UK pot holes and speed humps don't effect it. I have the smaller version available and it is perfect for phones similar to the S5. However if you have a note or bigger i suggest you get the larger one. it has a larger surface area. (and i think slightly stronger magnet but not sure)The pack came with 3 x 3M stickies for the Ball mount and 2 Discs for the phone. so well prepared for spares or 2nd phone.The instructions do advise to Place the ball mount with the magnet to the surface you wish without the tapes first to ensure it is where you have the required position. then when satisfied peel off the tape paper and press the unit onto the surface and hold for 10 seconds, then it is recommended to leave for 12 hrs to cure and ensure strong adhesion, before you fully use it. I did it overnight and its held in place firmly since.Overall verdictThe best phone holder Ever.

Arrived in good time and well packaged. Inside was the secondary box which contained the mount, base with bearing, magnetic disk (very strong), spare mounting pads for another phone and spare metal sticky disks (a mix of small and large suitable for both smaller and larger screen phones), spare sticky pads for both the mount plates and the base unit and finally a set of clear instructions with lots of pictures. The mount itself was superb and once connected to the bearing the whole thing felt well constructed and reliable. I mounted the base in a few places until I found the best spot and pressed the 3M sticky pad into place. I left it overnight to settle in an used it first thing next day on a 150 mile round trip. It performed superbly with my Galaxy J5 and held it in place and at just the right angle as selected for the entire journey. It took a little time to get accustomed to removing the phone since that magnet is no plaything but once master it has been easy. I certainly recommend this item but would also say they chose the right position before you start sticking things down, make sure you have plenty of room and a clear line of sight to the phone itself and don't forget room to get to the buttons easily.

Sometimes, it's the small things that make the biggest difference. I've attached this device to the dash of my car - a smooth wooden panel. The 3M backing worked pretty solidly, and it's been on their for months now. The magnet is also powerful and won't let you down. The only minor issue was the metal disc that you're supposed to stick to the phone. This is, of course, fairly basic technology. Unfortunately, I just couldn't find a decent way of making this work without sticking the metal disc to the back of my phone. I don't use a case, so this was the only solution. The disc comes with 3M backing too, but this was rather week so I had to resort to using some strong glue. It did the trick and now that I'm used to it, I can honestly say it's made driving with my phone in view a million times better. Using the satnav and answering calls and being able to rotate and remove the phone with ease.

This would be a great product if they'd realised that there are no flat surfaces in a car. The sticky back that comes with this is not thick enough to take account of even the most gentle curve I followed the instructions to the letter and the next day within five minutes of attaching my phone to the magnet the whole thing fell off the dashboard. I decided not to try again with another one of the spare stickers supplied but instead went to B&Q to find something that would do do a better job of it, that's when I came across a flexible glue that looks like blue tac called sugru (later on I found you can buy this on Amazon) this looked like it could do the business and I'm happy to say so far it is. So in essence what I'm saying buy this product but don't expect it to stick unless you use sugru this is a great product but will set you back a further £6.00.

I bought one of these on July 23 2016 and to say the least I was impressed as it held my iPhone 6s Plus without problem..........HOWEVER I needed to buy another one to go in a different vehicle . Well it arrived all nicely boxed up but from there it went down hill. It seems that the magnet in the newer one is quite a bit weaker. I set it up the same way as I did my other one left it for the mandatory 24 hours then went to put my phone on in and it slipped right off and onto the floor. There seems to be very little grab from the magnet I tried it a few times but it just would not hold the phone at all. So looks like a return is in order. It's a shame as they seem to have upgraded the packaging it comes in whilst at the same time downgraded the magnet

AT LAST.....a magnetic phone holder that actually works!I have a Vauxhall Meriva and the dash is covered in a dimpled plastic. Not the easiest of surfaces to stick anything on. But the magnet housing attached ok and remains firmly in place. My phone is an LGG3 - not the lightest phone out there but the metal disc that you stick on it attaches to the magnet and firmly holds the phone in place. Vibration, which naturally occurs during driving, makes no difference either. The phone stays firmly in place. As it should.I have tried many, many different phone holders over the years and was rather sceptical when this one arrived - but this one is the best - by a mile.
