This is easy to use with the remote and easy to get onto Wifi. Trimming and cutting the strip required additional pieces to be purchased and the combination of cheap connector and the flimsy LED strip made it challenging to connect everything together. The flimsy LED strip makes it really easy to bend around corners, though, so you can't have it all.The big issue for me is the IFTTT support. Some of the IFTTT behaviors don't always execute properly. For example, if you setup an IFTTT widget to flash the LEDs 3 times when some trigger happens, you might often see that the LEDs pulse on 3 times, but then they stay ON rather than going back the original state of OFF. I have also seen them flash completely different colors than what I specified in the IFTTT applet.Oh, another strange behavior is how the LEDs turn off. The strip obviously leverages Red, Green, and Blue LEDs to make different colors. When you turn off the LED strip the R, G, and B LEDs turn off at different times. So if the strip is set to turquoise, you might see the LED strip turn green and then red and finally OFF as the B, G, and R LEDs turn off.

Please read this if you are going to buy this. After reading countless reviews on similar products and this one aswell I noticed a log of negative reviews and it’s pretty obvious these are competitor reviews made to lower another product. Not all but definitely most.Here is my experience with this product:I ordered with 1 day shipping and it came exactly next day.What works:All lights illuminate, all colors are accurate.The lowest dimness is fantastic and lower than any others I have tried.The app is responsive and accurately at real time displays what color I pick from my phone.The timer for the lights WORK!What is iffy/doesn’t work:The 3M adhesive strip that comes with it is STRONG but it is hard to find a place to peel the adhesive strip without pulling it off so I resulted to finding a little bump where it was already detached from being on the reel. From there I just pryed it and it worked.What else doesn’t work is the power adapter. The cable is only abour 4/5ft and with my 6ft desk it was hard for me to manage the cables so I resulted in re-routing it differently.Tips:1)plug in to outlet before applying anywhere to test to see if all lights work and are all the same color2)if 1) isn’t working make sure your 4-pin coupling is connecting to RGB if it doesn’t work rotate it 180degrees3)check with the remote different colors4)download the Magic Home App for your app store5)make sure you are connected to a wifi. If you are not connected to wifi the app will not work with the strip and you will be missing out on all the features.6)register an account and setup the deviceIt literally took me like 10 mins to get it setup attached to my desk and to make sure the app and everything worked. This isn’t rocket science people. Follow the directions

I bought my first Nexlux LED Strip in spring of 2018 and loved it. Easy to set-up, functioned great and a price that I could justify. Fast forward to Summer 2018, I decided to buy another Nexlux light strip to mount in the same room as the first one. Received the product and installed again with no problems, but after 2 weeks, 1/2 the LEDs stopped functioning. Luckily I was within the 30 day Amazon warranty so I returned it. I was so happy with the first one I purchased (still functioning properly), that I thought this was a one off, so I went ahead and exchanged for another. The second arrived, I went through the same setup successfully, and then a week later the entire strip stopped working. Amazon return again initiated and sent back.At this point in my product experience with Nexlux, one would probably not request for another replacement. However, due to the first one still working correctly, I figured I would eventually get another properly functioning unit. In addition, you can link several of these lights on the MagicHome App and control them simultaneously, so I didn't want to go with another brand and have to switch back and forth from one app to another to operate the strips.Third one arrived, and to my dismay, it came with 3 LEDs malfunctioning when the strip was programmed to the Green spectrum. Sending this one back and you guessed it, I'm going to go for a 4th.TLDR: First one I ordered works great, but have had to return the 2nd one I purchased 3 times due to various malfunctions.

I did have an issue with the adhesive on the first light strip I received. I contacted the email for the seller and they were able to help me get a replacement so I could put it up. That strip had some issues with the adhesive coming off with the backing as I peeled, but a little double stick tape in a few small areas was not a big deal, particularly for the value of this strip and the wifi controller.I've been using it for a week now as a hallway nightlight, and it's been awesome.Since we have seen how useful and nice this is and looks, I am planning more places to put these around my house.
