Worth It for the Sanity – No More Manual Distilling Madness!
I use this water distiller for my CPAP and humidifiers, and let me just say: this machine is a game-changer. Does it leave a bit of a smell when in use? Yes. Does it leave behind some residue? Also yes. Do I care? Absolutely not. After suffering through the slow, messy torment of manual distillation—where you're juggling boiling water on the bottom and trying to keep water cold on the top like some kind of kitchen wizard—I will gladly take a whiff of metallic steam and give this machine a good cleaning now and then. The smell is temporary. The relief is eternal. This distiller makes a full gallon with way less fuss, and it shuts off automatically when it’s done—no babysitting required. The stainless steel design feels sturdy, and cleaning is straightforward with white vinegar or the included citric acid cleaner. Yes, you’ll need to do some maintenance, but that’s a small price to pay for not spending half your day hovering over a DIY contraption like a water alchemist. In short: if you're tired of plastic jugs, manual misery, or flaky scale buildup in your humidifiers and CPAP, this distiller is 100% worth it. My lungs and my sanity thank me daily.

Great water distiller.
Got this distiller last night, washed it, and ran a cleaning cycle. I tested the water before and after and it does what it says it should do! Went from over 221 ppm (acceptable range of tap water) to just 1 (ideal range of particles). Tastes great. Took several hours to run. I didn’t time it but it seems like it was about 4 or 5 hours. Fan sounds like the microwave is running. Does get hot at the base, so keep away from children and lets. Very easy to use. A qOverall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I wanted to like this distiller
While the distiller seems like a quality build at first and does its job well, I'm not impressed with the quality of the stainless steel on the fan / top assembly. The stainless in the boiling tank seems fine, but the top assembly started rusting after just one use. I even wiped it off to make sure it was really rust. I work in manufacturing, and this is a clear indicator of poor quality stainless steel. It seems the tank was made from 304 or 316, but the top out of only 200 (grades of stainless steel) . I can only imagine how bad the corrosion will be after 10, 50, 100 uses.

Bad Energy Consumption and Puts Out Heat
This puts out a tremendous amount of heat and is extremely inefficient on power consumption. We did not like this product and returned. Investing in a reverse osmosis system is our plan.

As advertised
It works well for the price. We distill water to add to the water features at our office. I put this in the back room and let run. It does take a while but I'd say you make a gallon in 3 hours

Cleans my tapWater upNice
Really great machine the only problem I have is that you really can’t just let it run you need to turn it off a little early or the water has a bad flavor. It’s because the sediment removed from the water burns in the pot if the shutoff was more accurate it would make it better but I still really like it cleans well with the citric acid and the filters are cheap!!

Operates as expected
As long as you are diligent in cleaning it operates great. About 4 hours per gallon. Sometimes I will get 8 gallons before cleaning. I replaced the filter after the first 6 gallons. I am about 12 gallons into the 2nd filter and no noticeable odor, but our water was rough the 1st time around. Acceptable for the cost and quality is adequate. If you buy the cleaning powder, it is easy to clean.
