Beautiful lamp, but where was it made?
This is such a beautiful lamp, with the traditional cobalt blue and white color palette. It's got the same size globe as the small Ottoman table lamps, but its size looks more substantial due to the swan neck design. It's not tiny, but also not as big as your typical utilitarian table lamp.This is great for mood lighting or as a night light. It has a very bright 5 watt LED bulb. It doesn't illuminate an entire dark room, but it's performance is sufficient for use like a night light.The lamp shipped in a plain cardboard box, unmarked except for an Amazon barcode sticker which announced the contents of this box if anyone were to be curious. That doesn't bother me, I guess not too many packages handlers are looking to snag a table lamp lol...but just be aware if you're worried about absolute discretion (like buying it for a gift) anyone can read the barcode sticker on the shipping box and know what's inside.The lamp was easy to assemble. It takes a little hand strength and coordination to insert the prongs from top and bottom into the globe.I bought this lamp, and another similar one because they were on sale. I got them for a great price compared to other options on Amazon, and compared to price checking a big box retailer that also has a website. But...I am 99% sure this is a Chinese made lamp. Hence it's likely cost less than $5 wholesale. Just saying.My only complaint about this lamp is that the seller description implies it is Turkish made, but to me it doesn't look like the specific materials and workmanship I would expect from an authentic Ottoman lamp. There's no info on the box, nor on any part of the lamp to determine true country of origin. The seller description implies Turkey but doesn't seem to state absolutely that it is made there. Still, it does look traditional and probably sufficient unless you're native to the Middle East or a stickler for absolute authenticity.This is overall a very beautiful lamp at a great price. A showpiece and unique decor item. I do recommend this one!
