Q: can you mix old bay seasoning with cornmeal or flour for deep frying

I have mixed it with my Cornmeal ( Not a lot ) it worked just fine for me.

Q: Under ingredients the label says spices and then including blah blah blah which leads me to believe there's other spices that are not mentioned. Does anybody know what's really in this stuff?

Hi there, Old Bay seasoning is a blend of unique blend 17 herbs and spices. We understand that food allergies are a serious matter and recognize the importance of proper labeling. Please be assured that we will always declare any major allergens, MSG, artificial ingredients and preservatives on the ingredient listing of a product and will never hide these under "spices" or "natural flavors". Due to proprietary reasons, we cannot provide a complete listing of all the ingredients in a product; however, if there is a specific ingredient (or ingredients) that you are concerned about, please email us and we will be happy to check to see if that ingredient is used in formulation of the product. ~ Erica consumer_affairs@mccormick.com

Q: I want to buy these but see in the reviews that they are not the metal cans as advertised. Are they metal or plastic containers?

THE OnesI have bought are in metal cans. They may have switched to plastic, but it is still great seasoning!

Q: I only want them if in the metal containers with the metal bottoms. Is this what you are shipping? I need 10 of them.

The containers I received are metal with metal bottoms and red plastic tops.
