LS9P02 Leather Strop Kit

A bit small for larger blades but very good quality and does not take up alot of space in my hunting / fishing bag . Carried with a victorinox sharpening stone pen is an excellent pairing for in field sharpening. The compound is good quality for the money as well and just 4 strops on each side after sharpening is enough to deburr the blades and give you that razor sharp cutting edge that is needed .

I just never appreciated how much better the edge becomes after stropping. Perfect hand size for finishing of and honning kitchen knifes. Would encourage all to buy one of these and find out how good your kitchen knifes become.

Compact, tidy piece of kit, but the leather isn't very strong. The tip of the knife cuts through the leather very easily if I get the angle wrong. It seems OK if I use the other side. It doesn't seem to accept the compound very easily either. I was expecting better.

Small enough to fit in tool roll and still be good at it's job.

Good for smaller blades I use for little carvings probably not good for larger sloyd blades.

Note the size carefully - in my opinion or for my use, I found it too small to be useful, too awkward to position & manoeuvre the blade. Comes with 2 compounds, the only indication of which is which is in the manual/leaflet, which describes not two but three, so you just have to trust the same applies (the colours at least match). It also doesn't describe which to use on which side, but you can infer the fine for fine, and coarser compound on the suede.

Used it to sharpen/Polish my chisels worked perfectly only downside was i wish it was just a bit longer
