BICVelocity Original Mechanical Pencil, Fine Point (0.5mm), 12-Count, Black Barrel

I have various mechanical pencils, including shakers and multipens with gorgeous materials. And those I use most often are usually the ones with plastic barrel and narrow metal tip or lead protector, such as Japanese Clifters / Shalaku / Tapli Clip, etc. Tapli Clip and Clifters have a large clip and thus the center of gravity is somewhat eccentric near the top. I think it could cause deviated writing in some extent. Shalaku has small, usual clip and I feel the mass is distributed equally along the axis, i.e. not eccentric, which makes my hand to move more meticulously as planned. I feel that the mechanical pencil became a part of my hand when the pencil weighs not too much and the weight is distributed more evenly along the axis. And those with such property enhances accurate and easy writing as well.And this BIC Velocity Original mechanical pencil does the same thing for me. It feels slightly lighter to its competitors and it seems that the weight is fairly evenly distributed along the axis. And I felt that 3 grooves cut in the rubber grip provided the ability to manipulate this mechanical pencil more precisely. On the contrary, the Uni Sharaku has no cut grooves on its rubber grip so that the grip has slightly more tendency to slip or rotate within the hand from time to time. It is among the highly-affordable, basic mechanical pencils and I think it is of good quality for the price.Although I have dozens of mechanical pencils of various shape, material and price, I feel that the ones near at hand are usually those that are light weighted, inexpensive and those with even weight distribution along the axis. You don't have to worry about ruining the tip after dropping on the floor. Light weight may minimize bending of the tip and you can buy another one at any time. I think this is one of the best light weighted and budget mechanical pencil available on Amazon.

I love these Bic Velocity mechanical pencil!!!. To me it makes my hand written look neat even when I’m not trying to write neat.It do not comes with the green mechanical pencils, I just put them in there

I bought this product for my daughter first because she needed pencils and she preferred mechanical pencils I came across This one and it looked like a good pencil so I gave them to her but I took one for testing..... the results were that they are good soft to hold amazing grip & eraser but when you write you gotta be careful not to break the point because it’s easy to and it can be annoying if your a hard writer than you should do regular pencils but if your careful than it’s all good! 💫

Outstanding pencils for almost every application. My kids did not like mechanical pencils until I purchased these. I see one review that says they do not have extra lead but there are two spares stored internally. I would prefer they had larger erasers. Great ergonomics, just right darkness, resistant to smudge (important for left handers) and reliable.
