One for the fans.
Absolutely surprised at how good this is. There is some great all original art and nice attention to detail. It's rare to get Godzilla literature outside of Japan so this is a real treat for fans young and old.It is not a full comprehensive encyclopedia as it leaves out some Godzilla stuff like the Legendary movies and also doesn't include Minus One. This can be overlooked because what we get is a great book.

Absolutely first rate!
I got this as a Christmas gift (thanks Mum!), and I’m so happy with it. It’s a kaiju fan’s dream come true. Written and illustrated by one of Toho’s concept artists, the book details the designs and variations of every monster in the Toho Godzilla movies, with the exception of GODZILLA MINUS ONE. Every monster and giant robot from the Showa, Heisei, Millennium and Reiwa eras is here, even the creatures from the animated trilogy and the SINGULAR POINT animated series. The illustrations are clear and detailed, and each comes with context provided by author and illustrator Shinji Nishikawa.Calling it an encyclopaedia is a bit of a stretch; no plot details for the movies are provided, but they can easily be found elsewhere. Nor are any of the creatures from Toho’s non-Godzilla kaiju movies covered. Nevertheless, this is an absolutely essential purchase for any Godzilla fan.
