Fits on the lens, perfectly fine has protected the lens from a lot of different dust and debris and protected the lens from me dropping the camera or the tripod that I used when falling over. would definitely recommend it is very light and does not block or obstruct the lens in any way shape or form.

A very good alternative to a more expensive Canon branded lens hood. A useful bayonet fixing which can be reversed and locked on the lens when not in use. Locks in possition and very pleased with this purchase.
