Well designed and implemented, unlike quite a few on the market it dries filament effectively, and evenly without hot spots on the filament rolls, average temperature throughout the chamber is accurate when it has had time to fully stabilise. The large touch screen control interface is straight forward, clear and just plain works. Can also print up to 4 rolls at a time straight from the machine itself if needed, by making use of the numerous bowden connector points. Also coming from an electrical background I took the time to look over the units internals and find the one I have to apparently match its claims of appropriate safety measures; therefore I have some degree of confidence about leaving it unattended whilst I see to other tasks. The only minuses I can think of is the plastic the front panel is made from is prone to attracting dust like mad, I would suggest cleaning with some manner of spray compatible with plastics that claims to have anti-static properties. not a big deal, but mildly irritating. Other than that, it has some gimmicky pulsing lights that come on below the reels in the chamber that are not to my personal tastes - it is however pretty straight forward to turn these off. Highly recommended, I expect it would be hard to find an objectively better filament dryer than this for standard filaments at any price point.

I have been printing for 3 years and waste so much filament! Not anymore, this dryer is amazing and so versatile. It is simple to set up and even easier to use. If you want to start saving money on filament and improve the quality of your printing, you need this dryer.

So, for starters, this is probably the best filament dryer around right now, especially if you want to avoid the expense of one dryer per roll. That said, it's got a couple of issues. One is just a matter of awareness, the other is more of a permanent frustration. I actually returned my first unit thinking it was faulty. When you first turn it on, the display lights up for about a second, then goes out again. If you're in a very well-lit environment, you can see that the LCD display is still showing, it's just not backlit. However, if - like me - you're doing it where it's not bathed in light, it looks like the display is blank. Unfortunately, just touching the display doesn't make it light up again - to do that you have to touch the very specific part of the display with the LCD icon for the power button... which you can't see because the display's not back-lit. However, once you know where the button area is (bottom right of display), this is no longer an issue, but a bit of a poor design nonetheless. The second issue is that the dryer has two modes. In the first, it will heat for the set amount of time (e.g. default for PLA is 6 hours), then will shut off. In the second mode, after the heat time, it will continue to work maintaining the humidity, so if the humidity rises above a target level (which you can set), the heater will come back on until the humidity drops to 20% (fixed). The trouble is, there's no option just to use this 'just keep it dry' mode without first heating it. So if you've had to unplug the dryer or had a power cut, when it's powered up again you have no choice but to first go through the heating stage. Thankfully, you can reduce this to an hour, but that's still an hour of running the heating which you might not want or need to do, and is particularly concerning as default behaviour when recovering from a power cut. Unfortunately, because this isn't a device with any sort of interface (smart phone or otherwise), there's no way for it to be updated to fix this issue, so just be aware of it as a flaw before you purchase this otherwise good dryer. Oh, and one last warning - just keep an eye on the temperatures (which are adjustable). The default drying temperature for PLA is 50°c, but my Bambu PLA specification says it starts to soften at 45°c. I've not noticed any issues with the actual filament, but the desiccant holders I'd printed in PLA and fitted in the middle of my spools had mildly deformed, so I've now reduced the drying temperature to 45°c and might even drop it to 40 to be on the safe side if I start to notice any printing issues with the filament.

Excellent, nicely made and easy to use. Having the capacity to dry 4 rolls at once is very convenient plus it will shut off when the moisture level is reached.

Bought this for drying PETG and TPU. Works a treat and has improved print quality and fixed my dreaded adhesion issues. There is virtually no noise and the size fits nicely on any desk or work bench. The touch screen is responsive but I personally would prefer tactile buttons. In terms of value its the same price as buying direct from Sunlu but the next day vs 5 day delivery time is a saving in its self. Sunlu never fail to deliver on quality to products and this is no exception!

Ich benutze die SUNLU Filament Trockner Box S4 jetzt einige Zeit und bin richtig begeistert. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass ich gleich bis zu vier Spulen gleichzeitig trocknen oder lagern kann – das spart mir viel Zeit und Stress. Das Gerät heizt super schnell auf und hält die Temperatur konstant, sodass mein Filament immer perfekt trocken bleibt. Die Feuchtigkeitskontrolle im Display gibt mir zudem viel Sicherheit, dass nichts schimmelt oder verdirbt. Klar, die Lüfter sind hörbar, aber für mich kein großes Problem. Wer viel 3D druckt, sollte sich diese Box definitiv anschauen – sie hat mir meine Druckqualität deutlich verbessert!

cela fait 1 an et demi que je l'utilise et il fonctionne parfaitement ,la seule chose négative est que l'on peut pas descendre l'humidité en dessous de 23 % alors que quand on l'allume la première fois il tourne pendant 6 heures et descend l'humidité à 13 %.En mode programmation il ne peut pas descendre en dessous de 23 %

Does a great job at keeping the filament dry. I find that I have less issues when I pull filament out of this and place it in the AMS on my Bambu P1S printer. I don't have issues with the filament stringing, compared to when I don't do that, and run from AMS I need to bump up the temp a little more on both the bed and nozzle to prevent stringing and loss of adhesion to the plate.
