A wonderful and fitting ending to an outstanding series
All is revealed in the last book in the Love on the Island series… Alicia’s story is as riveting as ever. It all comes together in a suspenseful fitting finale and the magnificent surroundings give the book authenticity.A must read for the fans of Alicia and Helena Halme.

Disappointing ending to a good series, for me.
The characters’ “about face” just did not gel , for me.I was expecting it : but still felt it was a bit of a cop out by the author. Very PC!Sorry.I’m sure many readers will have been satisfied. But I would always mistrust an adulterer and the volte face between both main couples, to my mind, appeared ridiculous.

A fantastic read, so sad if this was the last of the series.
I just loved the way the author tied up loose threads in An Island Heatwave but at the same time I am dreading that this might the the final book in the series. I do hope I am wrong!I was really worried for Alicia when she was taking big risks while pregnant, not sure I could have done that but Alicia is a brave woman. I truly could not put down the bookbefore I had finished it VERY early in the morning.A must read for anyone already hooked on Alicia’s story ar anyone else looking for a great read with interesting characters set in the beautiful archipelago of Åland.

Good ideas but oddly written
I have enjoyed Helena’s earlier books far more than the latter ones but the Aland Island series was interesting in terms of location, relations between adjacent countries etc. However, as the series progressed, the style of writing became stranger with its use of the present tense - it reads like the commentary for a hard of seeing person watching a TV programme. I cannot understand how this issue has not been addressed unless Helena is self-publishing so minimal editorial checks are made
