I loved it so much, I bought two sets!
I bought two sets, to create a longer Tantive IV hallway scene and to have more figures doing battle. It’s an awesome play set on its own, but for me, an even better display diorama, with the floor play features removed. For me, having two sets is worth it, as I have two 25th Anniversary Fives figures and two Darth Vaders. One that I can display and one I can save as a collectible unassembled or add to another MOC diorama.I just love this set as the iconic recreation of the Tantive IV boarding. Either as a play set or as a modded diorama. I’m also considering purchasing additional ones to recreate different scenes of that battle. We’ll see.

Surprisingly good
I bought it a little whimsically, seeing it on sale. I’m not usually into dioramas but this set struck a chord with me and I thought it might be a sufficient enough bargain. It was indeed a bargain. It’s remarkably good. There are flaws, like Darth Vader being kinda hard with lightsaber if you place all the troops in the locations, but these are minute things compared to the set as a whole. It was not only a fun build, utilizing interesting techniques, but it just looks so good. It feels robust too, and not too small at least for the discounted price. It’s honestly made me rethink about dioramas, that’s how good it is. The mini-figures are quite good (though I’m no aficianado, haven’t been in a minute), but they’re all detailed and really cool. The Fives figure definitely sweetens the whole thing I’ll have to admit. They clearly put in a lot of effort and thought into this set. Get it on sale while you can if you’re interested in LEGOs and /or Star Wars.

Awesome set for the money!
Seriously though, I love LEGO and have been collecting the Star Wars sets since they started making them in 1999. I love seeing the evolution of the character design and set designs since then. This set has some action, including a sliding door that's got a hole blasted through it, little switches to bounce the figures as if taken out with blaster fire, and a bunch of great mini figs. The value on this set one of the best for everything you're getting with it too. It looks awesome next to my trash compactor diorama and Tantive IV model ❤️I would really love a diorama of Leia giving R2 the plans that I could put next to it. I might just have to design that myself though.

Best Star Wars Set Yet
Too cool to pass up buying two. I added a C3-P0 from another set for extra scene coolness. I might buy a few more and recreate Leias holo scene with R2-D2. I know i have the escape pod somewhere so it's entirely possible to recreate the entire scene.

The Boarding of an Iconic StarWars Ship in Lego!
The media could not be loaded. This set is not only among one of the better values in terms of Lego StarWars sets, but also extremely enjoyable to build with enough play features to keep the younger audience busy for quite some time. It’s the boarding of the great Tantive IV from a New Hope, something I have always wanted a Lego set of as a kid, and it’s great!

Pros and Cons - Nice build, but minifigures??
The media could not be loaded. Pros:1. This is a big step up from the hallway build we got a year or two ago with the dark troopers. The hallway is larger, and the build has more play features2. Talking about the play features, there are a lot of cool gimmicks such as a force choke, opening doors, and moving floor pieces that knocks over minifigures.3. Good value. At 55 bucks you’re getting 7 minifigures which is nice. All of them are of pretty good detailCons:1. While I appreciate effort with the fives, some details are just blatantly wrong with the helmet. The double shoulder cape just looks goofy too. I had to fold it in order for it to actually mold around the shoulders.2. While the rebel troopers are nice, dual molded legs would’ve been even better, making the legs not look so bare.3. Stickers are something I always complain about, and this set is no different. They’re never any fun to put on and if you’re paying a decent amount of money, then there’s no excuse for why Lego is using these cost cutting methods.
