Molla Contento 1.7L Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Water Kettle

I searched long and hard for an electric kettle. My key concerns were a kettle with a sturdy and comfortable handle, sturdy base, sturdy on/off switch, no water contact with plastic, and quiet boil. I got nearly all of these with this kettle — and it took several attempts with three other tea kettles that I sent back promptly. I was attached to my Hamilton Beach, which is not a high-end fancy kettle, but the model I had is longer availble. The Hamilton Beach was well built, but on the noisy side. This kettle is surprisingly a lot quieter than most kettles. The handle is cool touch and a comfortable grip for my dainty lady hands. Also, the on/off switch lights up and it’s not just a flimsy little piece of plastic. It’s a little thicker than most of the tea kettles I ordered and returned. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the plastic inner lining of the lid. No real issue as long as you’re not over filling the kettle. It is very important not to overfill, as you will just damage and wear out your kettle. I was careless with my Hamilton Beach, and little bits of black plastic were breaking off into the water after about three or four years of heavy use. I will be more careful with this one. You will be pleased with this purchase.

My wife has used it every day since we received it. Boils the water super quickly and the kettle looks very sleek and stylish. I like the fact that the light turns on when you press the start switch at the bottom to indicate that is on and the light clicks off when the water is ready. Great product.

While on vacation in Prague I rented an apartment which had an electric tea kettle that cannot be purchased in the U.S. I was disappointed, because this kettle's brew time was unbelievably fast. That being said, I am completely pleased with my Molla Contendo electric tea kettle. It's brew time is very quick for a one-cup amount of water, and for two or more cups, it's fast enough for me. I like the ergonomic feel of it and the look of it. I've had it for 6 months so far and have zero complaints.

Four stars. This kettle is thoughtfullydesigned and well constructed. It is easy to use and ergonomic. My only complaint and the reason I didn't give this hot water kettle 5 stars is that the graduated window that indicates the water level is noteably difficult to read. The water level is hard to see particularly when the kettle is cold; such as first thing in the morning. I have found it difficult to avoid over filling with water. With experience using this kettle I have found that gently shaking the kettle makes it easier to see the boundary between the water level and the air in the top. For some reason it is much easier to read the water level once the kettle has boiled. This is the forth in a series of similar kettles I have used over the years and the others were all better in this one respect. That said, I do like this kettle and I can certainly tolerate this shortcoming. Recommended and a good buy for the money.

This product is sturdy and well made. It heats quickly and quietly. I read all of the reviews before selecting this one and feel I made a good purchase. I make sure to empty all of the water after I am done using it to avoid rust as mentioned by some reviewers about some of these kettles.

This kettle had the best reviews, and I chose it on that and the fact that it looks great. Very sadly, immediately I filled it up with water, it began leaking from the bottom of the handle. Because of this I am returning it, and hope to get a replacement from the supplier that does not leak. The only other negative aspect is the lid is just a stainless steel cover on a plastic lid, however it does function okay, and looks good when the lid is closed. I hope when I get a non-leaking kettle, it lasts as long as my Kenwood I have had for 15 years. The Kenwood still has probably 15 more years in it, but it is a 220 volt kettle, it came from UK, I have to replace it because our kitchen is being re-modeled, and my 220 volt UK receptacles have to be pulled out. :-(

This is the BEST tea kettle we've EVER owned!!!!!! Don't need to boil water on the stove and keep checking to turn off the whistling/make sure it doesn't boil over. This automatically turns off after the water is boiled. Just plug it in, fill it up with water, and push the lever down-- it's as easy as that! Totally worth it:)11/2021 Update: Still going strong w/ 2-3x daily usage.

I loved this kettle for all kinds of reasons. But, when it arrived I noticed right away that the switch to turn on the kettle was cheap. Alas after 8 months the switch broke. Tried to fix it, no point the switch is just junk.
