I got the viva Violet color and used 30 volume developer. My hair was already colored and had faded to a brassy medium brown but my natural color is dark brown black. The color is actually noticeable/vibrant and lifted my dark roots. I was worried my hair would come out more red but it's almost a plum, warm violet shade. I dyed it almost 2 months ago and it has not faded at all. I've been getting a lot of compliments on my hair :) I will definitely keep using this Review: Good hair dye. Budget friendly - I love this hair dye and I used it with a 20 developer instead of a 30. I kept it on for about 45 minutes and then washed it off after it does stain your scalp so to be careful of that. I think if I used a 30 developer, the color would come out more, but I am completely happy with the 20. My Hair was previously box dyed red, but I was able to get rid of that red color and the purple came out very nicely

The Ginger of My Dreams - All Without Bleach
I am so obsessed with how this color turned out. Im giving 5/5 because I am super happy with it, but realistically, if you were going for the color in the product photos, it’s not close. However, this is the ginger of my dreams that I thought I’d have to use bleach for and possibly go to a salon. The smell isn’t as strong as other dyes I’ve used in the past, and it didn’t stain my hands too bad either (I am too lazy to wear gloves). Like sometimes the smell lingers kinda strong for a while even after washing, rinsing and styling, but so far this has a pretty subtle smell, and what is there doesn’t smell chemically at all, just nice clean fresh smell. I’d say that it came out pretty even too, no blotches or anything, and my hair doesn’t feel any drier than it would with any other dye either, so no complaints there. I bought the Wella 30 cream developer too, just to be safe and get the absolute intended color. Left it in for 35 minutes. My hair color is naturally a level 5, and this dye lightened it quite a bit. Much more than I expected, could be because of my hair texture and porosity, but I’m not mad at all. I’ll be switch from HiColors to this from now on, I couldn’t be happier with the color and quality, despite it not being what was advertised. Would recommend trying if you’re skeptical! Photos are before and after :) I hadn’t dyed my hair in about a year prior to this so my roots are grown out quite a bit in the before.

Don’t waste your money
I would not buy this hair dye again. My daughter’s hair still looked brown after using this with a level 30 developer. There was no hint of red/copper.

Perfect for red
I have been using Wella dye for years for my red hair and I’ve loved it. I recently switched to this dye for dark hairs and I feel it lifts my color for a brighter color. I do not use bleach on my roots and I love this dye. I will continue to use it. I mix two colors to achieve my color.

Pleasantly suprised with this, as I have fairly stubborn hair and sometimes struggle with colours to take to my hair, but this came out really well! Most of my hair was fairly dark and it came out a nice vibrant colour, the parts that were pre-lightened came out really bright, which ended up looking sweet. I also only used 20 vol developer, when the box recommends 30 vol. I've since washed it a few times and still super nice colour. It still bleeds colour a bit, but washes out of any fabric it gets on super easily (silk pillowcases, towels, etc). And any light staining of the skin from sweat washes away in a shower without any focus on it, so the bleeding isn't all that annoying.

J'aime bien , par contre je le mélange avec un peu de rose flash car pour ma part j'aime mieux par contre ne cache pas longtemps les cheveux blancs il décoloré vite a la racine mais reste beau au pointe mais ça fait plusieurs fois que j'en commande

Before and after photos. I am very impressed. No bleaching required and super vibrant colour! For my length hair, I used two tubes. Important: must mix as per instructions. I had leftover, but I also missed a couple spots. Wash drip spots immediately. Only downside is this does continuously wash dye out for quite some time. Hasn’t permanently stained any towels though👍 Hair doesn’t feel damaged at all. Excited to try more colours!

I really thought I would be the one to prove everyone's review wrong. I thought everyone that left a bad review were not doing it correctly, or received the wrong product. Turns out everyone IS right, and you should definitely NOT buy this product. First of all, my hair is already red. I have been dying it with Garnier Nutrisse for a while and decided to try something new. Since this product lightens the hair as well as depositing, I thought this would be good to remove the accumulation of hair dye on my hair. I decided to use volume 20 since I didn't want to lighten my hair too much, and I thought the 30 volume was why everyone got orange hair. The ratio 1:1 makes a very thick paste if you are using the same brand developer, so I did use slightly more. I covered my hair in plastic wrap and waited for about 35min. The hair dye had turned red and I was very hopeful. However, once I washed my hair I saw the results and understood everyone's bad review. It turns your roots orange!! I understand this product lightens the hair, and that the roots are more susceptible to lighten well, however it makes a huge demarcation. The color of my lenghts is reddish-orange but it is dull. There's no shine. I will now have to spend even more money to fix this.
