This item was as simple as connecting to my old-ish keyboard and then to the USB port on my new PC. Perfect and instant functionality in my personal case. I am delighted that I chose to bypass the risk of purchasing a cheaper plug-type convertor which I doubt would've worked and instead opted for this item.

I bought this so that I could use a 25 year-old mechanical keyboard (which of course uses the then-standard "PS/2" type connector) on a modern PC (which only has USB ports). Why, might you ask? Well, I don't want a wireless keyboard, and my old keyboard is quite simply a brilliant keyboard. The key action is wonderful, and it's built like a battleship. It has the added benefit that I can also annoy my coworkers with its very loud keys! It's also better than most of the keyboards manufactured today - and if I were to attempt to find a wired mechanical keyboard these days, it'd cost an absolute fortune.I read bad reviews for some of these devices, but fortunately I notice that this one states that it has a USB chip in it. That's a good thing, because it basically means that the old keyboard and mouse you plug in to it don't have to have their own USB circuitry (which they won't), and also means that the computer needs no special drivers.I plugged my vintage keyboard and a PS/2 wired mouse into this device, then plugged this into my computer. It worked instantly and flawlessly with GNU/Linux, and the computer's BIOS/EFI. I also booted up Microsoft Windows for a couple of seconds, to test it all out, and it worked there too. No configuration, installation or settings needed. Just plug in and type away. Perfect. I just hope it's as durable as my vintage keyboard...

Works perfectly. Able to use my ps/2 keyboard with my new (usb only) motherboard. Cheaper than buying another (decent) keyboard.Multimedia keys (on keyboard) work as before and it works seamlessly in the bios as well.Keyboard is Microsoft RT2300.

Made a favorite PS2 keyboard useful again. Cheaper than buying another quality keyboard, easy to install and easy to use.

Works as expected with a PS2 keyboard. I don't have a PS2 mouse, so can't try it with that

It just works, and is about the only ps/2 adapter I’ve used that seems to work with all ps/2 keyboards with no glitches whatsoever.

This was delivered tremendously quickly and the product was as good as I hoped and has performed superbly. I am absolutely delighted to be able to use it to connect an old external PS/2 keyboard to my new Honor laptop. I was worried I would have to research and buy another USB keyboard, which was an unappealing prospect given that new wired keyboards seem to be either quality products at an extortiate price, or affordable and of low quality and durability.The adaptor is of good quality and is amazinly good value.

I don't really love it, but it did exactly what you want, You can plug in an old PS/2 mouse or keyboard and connect them to a modern computer which lacks a PS/2 socket. Works perfectly and has allowed me to continue to use nice old IBM PS/2 keyboards with modern laptops. It extends the useful life of old kit and helps to avoid some unnecessary landfill.I have two of these, and one them died and is now useless, which is a real pain and makes me worry about the other one I have...

I have an old Compaq computer keyboard that is rugged and built to last--and the key characters haven't worn away like several new and inexpensive keyboards. Unfortunately, it has no USB output nor wireless connection for new computers lacking PS/2 ports. But, today a good quality keyboard like this one sells for $150 or more--that is, if you want one built to withstand heavy use over the years. This low-cost adapter actually has the conversion circuits built in to accept old PS/2 keyboard and mouse inputs, and gives a new life to a quality keyboard that has withstood the test of time. So, if you have a quality PS/2 keyboard that deserves to be used with a modern computer, and you don't mind the wired connection, this live-circuit PS/2-to-USB adapter fills the bill--and allows the operation of the CAPs-lock, numbers-lock and scroll-lock LEDs to work as well. Don't settle for an adapter that has no active circuitry to make the conversion. It will likely not work in this application. By the way, I don't use my computer for games so I can't rate this device for gaming. However, I do electronic and print publishing, and this adapter works flawlessly. I have not used the mouse connection as I have a wireless mouse for my daily activities.

The adaptor works well. notwithstanding, I discovered that I needed a new keyboard, and my new keyboard does not need the adaptor. I do wish to convey the message that the adaptor works.
