Reversible Japanese House Shoes, Fleece Lining

My husband loves these slippers. Not too tight, not too warm, just right. True to size description, no rubber at the bottom, cotton material on the outside, fuzzy like on the inside. Nice relaxed style slip on slipper

I thought that with all the gushing praise for these slippers in the NYT Wirecutter that they would be some sort of excellent, but was deeply disappointed. Yes, they are cute and cozy, but useless for walking around in due to the slippery sole. Not only that, but they are so loose that keeping them on for more than a brief while is a frustrating endeavor,

Description said they fit sizes 6-10. I wear an 8 1/2, and they are way too big. Like falling off my feet too big. They'd be comfortable if they weren't so large.

I was just about to order these slippers for Christmas gifts because they are the most comfortable slippers I’ve ever had. But then I noticed the deterioration of the slippers in a few places. Got a pair for my daughter-in-law, and my husband liked them so much he bought a pair for himself. New York Times wire cutter rates them as one of the top house shoes.

I’m a size 9.5 shoe size so I got a “large” of these slippers- they feel off my heels constantly. I bought a paid for my mom but returned them out of fear of her slipping. They are literal SLIP-ers.
