It very soft and easy to chew. Seems to work but my dogs don't like the flavor of it.

These are very large chews and took my cockapoo several minutes of concentrated chewing to consume it. He wasn't complaining. He clearly liked it. As a treat it's fine. I'm not sure how calming it is. Treats marketed to change behavior seem to be in vogue at the moment. While I find a cup of chamomile tea calming because I like the mild flowery flavor, the feel of the warm cup in my hand and the quiet moment sipping, I'm not sure that the chamomile itself is truly calming even for me and have less faith that it does anything meaningful for my dog. It is clever marketing though and you may find it has more impact on the behavior than I do.

I was excited to try these out since they are from Purina, which is a brand I trust. One of my dogs loves them and thinks they are treats, the other one won't touch them. This is unfortunate because the one who won't eat them is the one who really needs them! So I can't speak to their effectiveness, but if your dog is generally amenable to trying new snacks you'll likely have good luck with these!

I cannot attest to how this would do with dogs that are hyperactive. The only thing I can make a claim about would be when it comes to anxiety. I have a dog outside the tends to get a little bit anxious whenever a specific family member leaves the property and sometimes it gets to the point where they just start howling or they just act uneasy and get annoying with howling. So thankfully this came along and surprisingly the ingredients coming from Purina are somewhat decent actually. I gave one of these chews to the dog and I was thinking that he would resist and would not like it but on the contrary he actually seemed to be attracted to it. So I could say flavor approved by the dog and maybe plenty of other dogs are going to have the same experience. 5 minutes after consuming the first chew the dog already seem to be at ease k. No howling, maybe a little bit uneasy, but at least he seemed more comfortable where it was a noticeable change. Tested it out some other times and again he likes it as a treat and will get a bit chill so it has been working wonderfully and I am glad that this comes with 60 chews to be able to last a while because it is a bit pricey but well worth it for me

We got these because I trust the name and my dog is a spaz. He is always stepping on me and being hyper active. I gave him a few of these and he was pretty much the same. He liked them as treats, so that's at least good, but of all the calming products we've tried, this is about the middle of the road. Now, maybe on something like the 4th of July when there's fireworks and he gets scared these will help him relax, but his normal behavior pattern didn't change much after a few of these treats.I didn't give it a rating for flavor because our dog eats puzzle pieces and pocket lint, so his willigness to consume isn't something I'd use as a measure that I can rate.

We tried these calming chews on our 4lb yorkie, 40lb poodle, and 15lb cavalier. There was no noticeable difference in their behavior, even after giving it to them for multiple days straight. I thought for sure the smallest would have some sort of effect, but it didn't. Unfortunately, these aren't worth the buy.
