1/2'' UNISEAL Flexible Tank Adapter (bulkhead)

Great product! Far better than bulkhead fittings, and much cheaper. The pressure from the pipe inside the center hole keeps the seal, so there is no gluing or futzing around required. I love these things. Most bulkhead fittings tend to leak unless you either wrench them down really tight or add glue. The only (very small) issue might be if you are trying to seal something that has a pretty sharply curved surface (e.g. 5 gal bucket). I used these on some, and did end up having to use glue. I used them on a 55 gallon rain barrel, and flat surfaces as well, and they work really really well on them, no glue required. Just make sure to drill the right size hole. Too big and you'll have leaks.

I decided to make my own watering system for my chicken coop out of a plastic wood looking rain barrel. The description and instructions tell you what hole saw bit to use so you will need to get the size you need for the size seal you purchase. I drilled the hole size I need, inserted the seal, stuck my 1/2" PVC pipe connection in it and it works great! No leaks, no issues! No as long as my 60 gallon rain barrel has water in it my chickens will have water! Great seal!

I bought this after a friend recommended it in trying to setup an aquaponics system. These uniseal bulkheads are basically just durable rubber washers to put it simply. It does not come with instructions probably because its so simple. But here is basically what you need to do.To use it, drill a hole as indicated in the description, then push your pipe through. If you are using pvc, it would also help to round out the edge you are pushing through to make it easier. Also would help to lube the pipe, but if that is not an option, then water works.In all, this bulkhead is so simple and cheaper than your typical screw bulkheads. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for something simple, cheap, and works.

If you ever used a Uniseal you know how great these are, if you haven't then your in for a treat. Theses things are great when you need a water tight seal through the wall of a container. Make sure to follow the directions and look up some online video of how to use these. The hole should be clean with no burs and the pipe should be smooth, make sure to use the correct size hole saw bit for the Uniseal.

Easy installation and great solution to installing a bulkhead when no access to the inside of a tank is possible!

For low pressure plumbing bulkheads, these are just fantastic. I have used them on several projects and they seal up so well. A real time saver!
