pretty good!
For the first time I've been able to sharpen my knives properly!!!It's been infuriating in the past not being able to get the sharpness and finish I want on my knives. I've tried all sorts of ways to sharpen and I just can't get the edge I want ... until now!I didn't see the point in the wooden holder as it came with rubber grips and I didn't use the Knife Guide as I seem to be pretty good at keeping an angle by myself freehand - it also isn't very long and easily drops off the edge of the stones, which is annoying. I can't think of any technique to use where I can use it efficiently without getting frustrated with it, so I've not used it.I've also notice that the rubber grips also don't grip so well on my kitchen sides, so I place a folded paper towel down under it and wet it. This sticks much better! There might be better ways of doing this, but I don't know them. There weren't any instructions which was annoying - you're kind of expected to know what every part is and what to do with it. Would be nice for a company to produce instructions for us amateurs out there. Perhaps whetstone sharpening is usually practised by those who know what they're doing? Who knows. To those of you who haven't used stones before to sharpen knives, please get to know what you're doing somewhat by watching YouTube vids first - there are a great many out there and many ways of approaching it.

Great starter blocks
This is a good all round package for starting sharpening knives with a whetstone. It includes a variety of whetstones. It would have been nice to have some instructions in the package but there are plenty of instructional videos on the web. The block is sturdy and has a non stick bottom. If you’re new to this the wedge that slides onto your knife to give you the perfect angle is brilliant.I’ve used it on a selcetion of knives costing from £15 up to £130 with good effect. I only used the 400 stone on one which had some notable chips. I sharpened most with the 1000 following up with a polish on 8000. Each knife took about 15mins on each stone. I used the 3000 stone on my boning knife. I had heard that using the 8000 would make it too brittle and likely to break.

Good introduction set.
Great set of sharpening stones for the money. I’ve sharpened all of my kitchen knives to a good standard. You won’t get a mirror finish but you will get a very sharp edge.

Excellent quality water stones.
Excellent quality water stones. Really great to use with four grades. The little angle attachment is good but not great for small or large knives but teaches you the correct angle. Sharpened six knives to razor sharpness. The last small pocket knife I did by hand and it too is razor sharp. Excellent price for such quality stones. No instructions but make sure you soak them until all the bubbles leave the stones - ten minutes submerged in water, and keep the surface wet whilst using them. I am sure if you have no experience with such stones you won't be purchasing them.

Good go to set
This whetstone set has all the grits you need for a standard sharpening. If you’re not confident in how to sharpen there’s hundreds of tutorials online but the plastic guide you get with this product works well for most knives. Just feel for the angle when using it as you don’t want to go dulling the blade on the wrong angle. Used the stones for afew of my kitchen knives and has worked great, good value for money considering you get 4 grits.

Brilliant
The media could not be loaded. Before using these stones I was using high end Japanese stones, they broke over time leading me to not bother sharpening my knifes. After a while I noticed how dull the blades had before, saw these online and for the price decided to give them a try.I'm amazed for the price of the stones they have done an amazing job of totally restoring the knifes.100% recomend these stones and will be buying again!!!

Good product
Good productYou need a little bit of skill though to get the most from these water stones. If you have never used stones before to sharpen a blade then there are several great videos on youtube that will point you in correct path. Its a labour of love sharpening knives and have yet to sharpen a piece of silk by dropping it across a blade. Also if your knives are blade are of a very low quality then you might just want to buy a good knife. But they will sharpen any blade if you use correct technique.

Good bang for the buck but you might need to flatten your stone
