A great valve amp
I bought this for my son as we already had a Marshal cabinet. He plays an Ibanez guitar through it and it sounds great. Plenty of power and more oomph than a practice amp. My older son who was in a band also rates it highly even though he recommended a Blackstar.

DSL20HR. Believe all those reviews, this amp is amazing.
I purchased the DSL20HR fearing disaster after seeing many complimentary reviews. Not one I’d watched had been critical of the tone and the amp was always sounding stunning.I must explain that to my great embarrassment, I have previously been taken in by what were possibly sponsored demos / reviews and unfortunately invested good money on bad rubbish.I was tentative but took a chance and I’m so very pleased I did. If I had paid double the money for this amp (it’s amazing value for money) I would personally still be absolutely over the moon with it. It provides the sounds I have been searching for and is capable of producing so many more. It includes an F/X loop and unusually for this type of kit, an audio in socket and headphone / mixer jack connection with something called soft-tube cabinet emulation. It does great through headphones but stick to using it for the mixer. That’s unless you actually like your ears filled with a annoying hiss for hours afterwards. I just needs to be loud.I play mainly AC/DC, GNR, Green Day, Sex Pistols, Maiden and Metallica type of stuff and use a Marshall MX212A cab fitted with Celestion Seventy 80 speakers and it just makes me smile. The amp is capable of producing many varied tones. The classic gain channel providing both clean and the fantastic break up tone and crunch you’d expect from a Marshall amplifier. The Ultra Gain channel is a beast and using it has been the first time I haven’t felt the need to use a pedal to provide that extra bite.I must mention though, it can be used at the full 20W and also a 10W setting and it is claimed (even in the manual) to apparently take you from stage to studio to the bedroom. This is out and out nonsense. The 10W half power setting will see you hung from a streetlight by either and perhaps all your neighbours, wife / partner or children. It will also put the fear of God into any pets you have the like of which even fireworks are unable to provide. You definitely need to use a power soak with this if you want to enjoy it as it should be heard.I use a Bugera model (available on here for just short of eighty quid) that’s absolutely solid and does the job just as well as anything else out there. This includes the added bonus that unlike most similar units, it doesn’t cost either the same as or (as is more likely the case) more than this brilliant amp head.

This is the King. I am serious. 🤘🏾
There is nothing to "Dislike" about this Tube Head! It has exceeded my expectations!! The tone is really rich. You really have that "Marshall" tone. If it can sound so good at bedroom volume levels in Low Power Setting (10W) I can't imagine how killer it would sound in High Power Setting!! This is awesome for home practices, Rehearsals, Jamming, Studio Recording and GIGS as well!! I must say, that it nails that classic tone of Slash from the 80s easily. I am more than happy with this head. You really do need a Good Speaker Cabinet to get the maximum juice out of this baby!!!
