The media could not be loaded. Definitely worth the money. This is perfect for older homes with poor or no ventilation in your cooking area. I'm not quite sure how well it would work with gas ranges because the unit does have to be fairly close to the pot or pan and use. All in all it is very effective and the noise is no greater than any normal house exhaust fan. No more stinky house! A great buy!

I bought this to help reduce the smell while having hot pot, it actually worked really well! Very pleased with the outcome. Now I use it as a double extract fan when I cook.

This little device is a lifesaver! I live in an apartment with no built-in range hood, and this portable exhaust fan does an amazing job of pulling out smoke and odors while cooking. The suction power is strong, and the filter is easy to clean. I love that it’s compact and doesn’t take up much space, yet it makes a huge difference in air quality. The noise level is also low and setup was a breeze. If you cook often and need a venting solution, this is totally worth it!

This is a joke. Even on the highest setting it does next to nothing. If you hold it directly over the food it STILL doesn't pull in all the smoke/grease. If it's sitting on the counter it pulls NOTHING in. Weakest fan I've ever seen really, and yet loud as heck for having no omph. Total garbage.

I am happy with this purchase. The device is fairly large and so I had to figure out where to store it when i’m not using it, but its size obviously makes it more effective when in operation. I was pleased that it is fairly quiet while in operation and it certainly helped keep the smoke alarm from going off when I cooked bacon! In short, if you don’t have good ventilation above your cooking surface, this is a good option.

Works great

It is my first time to use portable hood. And it is amazing. I write this review after I used it for a while because I want to know how it works and see if it is useful. It functions just as I read the product description on the web page before I bought it. So I am very satisfied. I really like that it has an air speed control. This is important to me, sometimes I need the wind speed to be higher and sometimes I need it to be lower. That's why it's especially nice that it's adjustable speed. Moreover, it's prettier than I thought it would be. Anyway, I recommend it to those people who will need it because it is useful for me. A great shopping for me this time.

The Zomagas portable cooking exhaust fan does a good job for its very narrow intended use, which is as an exhaust fan for a small cooking surface like an RV for a portable burner. It's not intended to replace a real vent hood with much more powerful fans. For what it was made for, it works fine. I use it as a vent while using my countertop electric griddle. I once rented a vacation house where the cooktop had no vent, and this gadget would have come in really handy there. The low fan setting is almost pointless, but the high and turbo speeds are decent.The fan is easy to operate with a single button and easy to change out the filter. The cord provided is sufficiently long. It is not overly noisy, though it's not quiet per se.What I didn't care for: It's really big and it doesn't disassemble at all, so it's just this weird thing sitting on my counter top because I don't have room to store it in any of my cupboards. It's also oddly top-heavy, with the base being almost disturbingly light. You really have to place the fan right up to what you are cooking so if you are cooking with a pot taller than the fan, you're out of luck. And I wish the angle of the fan was adjustable.
