Good stuff, with 2 minor gripes
The shells are very secure in the holder and after about 1 month or so of usage in really rough terrain, no problems. The 2 minor gripes are:1)because of the way the straps a laid our the shells don't fit flush against the stock, but that's more a visual blemish rather than a problem with functionality.2)the gun racks in our units are positioned vertical and the bottom plate is more narrow than the buttstock and shell holder so it takes a little bit of wiggling to get the shotgun to lock in place. 2 work-a-rounds that I find is to either remove the shell closest to the end of the buttstock or just play with the angle of the shot gun until you're able to get the clamp that goes around the tube to lock it in place.

Great Product!
Well let me start by saying that as soon as I placed the order the company emailed me and wanted to tell me that they were happy to have my business and will be shipping my product within 48 hours. I like it when companies show that they on top of things and especially when they leave me a phone # to contact them with any questions I might have. So with all that being said , as far as the product goes , really happy! I bought it for a Remington 870 express that I will be picking up from the dealer tomorrow. I read a couple reviews that mentioned something about it being difficult to install so with out having my gun yet I went by a buddies house who has the same gun I bought and we strapped it up on the butt stock and it fit really snug. I was a little concerned that the shell holder would sit to far back in my armpit but wasn't an issue . it does sit a little far back but it leaves plenty of room for your hand near the trigger. I my self don't believe that putting a bunch of after market crap on my gun as far as pistol grip butt stocks and all that other garbage that Remington didn't make for the gun originally, so being able to strap this on to the existing butt stock with a 6 shell capacity along with a light and mount for my home defender fits my style and needs. I know that some of the side mounted shell holders look cool but are made of rubber and are difficult to get the shells in and out when needed and the last thing you need is to be fighting to pull more shells out and quickly reload in a bad situation. The shell holders on this product are snug and made of a good elastic material that should hole up well through time. The over all product is high quality! It is ambi so I think that the extra sling mount clip is what throws people off as far as the install. I will update after shooting with it a few times but as far as the company and product , great shipping speed, a really nice email from the seller and most importantly is a great product! Thanks Guys!

Solid, quality product
Just received this, and the quality is every bit as good as any Eagle or LBT gear I was ever issued or bought. Stitching is multiple reinforced, moreso at stress points. Materials are quality. Was very easy to fit with minimal slippage. And though I was worried about discomfort during cheek weld, there was non because it was just a bit of loop velcro on my face after I adjusted the straps appropriately. Holds 12ga shells solidly but they are as quick to draw as any loop system. No hesitation recommend ding this for anyone looking for a buttstock shell carrier.Insofar as sling mount, I prefer single point or double point stud mounted slings, depending on use/activity, so cannot comment on its use as a rear slightly attachment point. And I can say that the seller had the best customer service of any company with which I have dealt over the past 10 years. In fact, after exchanging a few emails, they learned I was using it for a short LOP (12") buttstock and recommended I go with 5- instead of 6-shell variant. The 6 would have fit, but the 5 is a perfect fit.At any rate, get one of the cheaper overseas versions if you want, but be sure to have a needle and thread ready when the cheap thread and quality control fail you when you need it most.

very well made; a bit complex but not hard to figure it out. it is slightly bulky when mounted, but, again, very solid. I put it on an entirely different stock than the Remingtons listed, but it is fine. I did not know that this provides a rear sling mount, but that might make it more attractive to some. The mount is on the side of the stock, not bottom. overall quite good.

Looks good, fitting is troublesome on an 1187.
The shell holder is very well built and easily conforms for left or right stock mounting, but the issue I found with this for my 1187 was that it hinders my rear sling swivel. I had to stretch and force the strap around the front of the swivel which is not a natural fit. With that said, it does fit decently on my Weatherby. It will work great for anyone that doesn't utilize a rear swivel on their 1187.

This shell holder rocks!
The shell holder is secure in ways that my "Mike's" wasn't. I highly recommend this shell holder to the ones that bolt onto the receiver. The stitching is tight and the shell loops are a bit snug. This is a good thing because they will inevitably fatigue. For the money, this product is right on.

Interferes with the sling mount on the stock of my Remington 870. Despite all the Velcro straps, cannot adjust it to make it work. Don't buy it if you have the factory sling mount on your gun.
