Mounted to my scuba helmet. Folds away safe when not in use. Great beam of light. Love the red function underwater night time. Easy to use and turn it on off with thick gloves.

Review of APLOS H800 Scuba Diving HeadlampI recently had the opportunity to test the APLOS H800 Scuba Diving Headlamp during a series of underwater adventures, and I must say, it has proven to be an impressive tool for both recreational divers and professional underwater explorers alike.Brightness and Visibility: One of the standout features of the H800 is its remarkable brightness. With a powerful output of 3500 lumens, this headlamp illuminates even the darkest underwater environments. The TIR lens enhances the beam's focus, allowing for clear visibility at considerable distances. During my dives, I was able to see details on the reef and around marine life that I would have otherwise missed. Whether you're exploring caves or snorkeling, this headlamp cuts through the murkiness with ease.Design and Comfort: The design of the H800 is both practical and user-friendly. The adjustable head strap is comfortable and secure, which is essential for long dives. It fits snugly without being too tight, and the lightweight construction ensures that it doesn't add unnecessary strain during prolonged use. I appreciated the fact that it allows for easy adjustment, catering to different head sizes and dive gear setups.Durability and Waterproofing: Constructed for underwater use, the APLOS H800 features an IPX68 waterproof rating, which means it can withstand the pressure at significant depths. I took it down to about 100 feet, and it performed flawlessly without any signs of leakage or operational issues. The robust build gives me confidence in its durability for years of underwater exploration.Power Indicator: Another thoughtful feature is the built-in power indicator. Knowing the remaining battery life is essential when you’re deep underwater. The indicator clearly displays when it's time to recharge, eliminating the risk of being left in the dark during critical moments. The battery life itself is commendable, lasting several hours on a single charge, depending on the brightness setting used.Versatility: Beyond scuba diving, the APLOS H800 is incredibly versatile. I found it equally effective for caving and even during nighttime outdoor activities like camping and hiking. The multi-functional nature of this headlamp makes it a valuable addition to any adventurer's toolkit. Conclusion: Overall, the APLOS H800 Scuba Diving Headlamp is a top-tier product that delivers outstanding performance. Its combination of brightness, build quality, comfort, and versatility makes it an excellent investment for anyone who enjoys underwater activities. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a beginner looking to explore the underwater world, this headlamp will undoubtedly enhance your experience. If you're in the market for a reliable dive light that won't let you down, the APLOS H800 is definitely worth considering.

It works underwater..
This is a nice light. It fits securely on my head even with my mask on..It's bright.. and that's it.The light does not really eliminate an area.. it's more of a light to be used to look at some a in your hand or at best a few feet away..Other than that it's a good light.

Just about the greatest headlamp I’ve ever owned
I absolutely love this headlamp. Not only is it extremely bright and durable, but it is also waterproof. You just don’t understand how great it is to have a bright, high-quality headlamp until you have one.Highly recommended!

sick headlamp
I have owned a handful of other headlamps (for land-based home repair uses) and most of them have a couple pretty significant drawbacks. One, they are rechargeable which means a) you have to recharge them and in the event of a power outage or emergency this means it'll inevitably be dead and 2) you have a chunky lipo pack right above your ear. Also a lot of them are made from uncomfortable materials. This is a really slick unit. The biggest pro: due to other hobbies I have a plethora of 18650's and while I appreciate this one came with one, I will always have dozens of others I can immediately replace this with when I have a project to do, when the power goes out, (or if I ever finally get scuba certified.)Also (addressing the previously-mentioned cons from other head lamps) the weight of this unit (even tho it's a nice waterproof metal housing) is right direct center of your forehead and not on the side of your head which is far more comfortable to wear.I also find the rubber the forehead pad and head strap very soft and comfortable as a material. And the button lacks any tactile "click" or anything, but it's a simple 3-mode switch and that isn't a big deal to me. Also THANK YOU for only having high/low/flash. I swear other headlamp companies think the lamp has to be able to flash a Shakespeare sonnet in morse code and also order you a burrito as light modes. This one does have SOS, but it's in a secondary "hold button" sort of mode and not on the "normal path" of single clicking. If I had my druthers, I would have loved it more if the flash was in the SOS mode as a toggle there and the main button was literally just high/low/off. But this is closer than any of my others to what I want. Also one feature I wish this had is some way to prevent the strap from coming out of the buckle. Some of us have gigantic melons so I'm always skating on the limit of the strap and it wouldn't be too hard to pull the strap out of the buckle.Overall I'm pretty pleased with this thing tho.
