FLEX 24V Brushless Cordless 1.5 HP Trim Router Tool, Battery and Charger Not Included - FX4221-Z

I made the decision to replace many of my current cordless tools due to a couple of very poor customer service experiences with "team green". I chose to go with Flex based on a combination of reviews, features, and price. I'm glad I did, as I have not been disappointed yet. Their cordless router is top notch!Pros:- Plenty of power. I have put it to the test using a 3/4" twin flute straight bit to make 3/8" deep dado cuts. Did not break a sweat.- Very robust. As I'm finding with all Flex tools, they just feel different than I'm used to in a good way. Their build quality is top notch and they feel very well made. Some say their tools are a little large or bulky, but I don't agree. I think they're a perfect blend of toughness, ease of use, and innovation. They may be a bit heavier, but I think that lends to better control.- Premium features: Flex comes out with many innovative features, and possibly my favorite is the depth adjustment. While it's true they may have come up with a very similar design to the "team yellow" router with the twist design, it works very well and is very easy and precise. I much prefer it to the rack-and-pinion style. I also love the spindle lock that functions as both a safety feature (not allowing it to power on while locked) and also makes bit changes a breeze!-Accessories included: Flex also seems to include many accessories that other brands charge extra for. You get a very nice edge guide that is easy to adjust and locks in well. It's much nicer than I've seen with other brands, even ones you pay extra for. You also get a centering cone, which really is a big deal if you are going to use different bases on your router. The dust collector shroud seems to be well designed and is included as well. Lastly, you get a round subbase in addition to the d-shaped subbase. That's a lot of accessories included for the price!- Lifetime warranty: If you purchase before December 31, 2025 and register the product within 30 days of purchase, you get a lifetime warranty on the product. This does include batteries and chargers as well!Cons: There is really only one con I can think of, and that is the lack of third-party accessories designed to fit the Flex router. As they grow in popularity, this should go away. I'd like to see Flex come out with a circle jig for their router.All-in-all, another great product for the money and I would highly recommend. I will continue to "upgrade" to Flex tools!

Better than expected, but a huge deal but I have smaller hands and it would of been nice to have some more ergonomics designed into it, but albeit that's a minor gripe.

It's on the bigger side BUT no bigger than the other major brands. What sets it aside is the sheer power. It's amazing!

I have been a dewalt trim router guy for years. I actually own 2 of them.. but all the extras you get and a bit more power with the flex is a welcome up grade. I be buying flex moving forward.

I have always wanted a trim router, so when I saw this complete kit, I grabbed it. First of all, this appears to be every bit as high quality as some of the more well known brands in the mid-tier category. The kit includes the router, battery, battery charger, guide accessories and tool bag. Bits are not included.The router has some cool features, like the unique depth adjuster, the spindle stop and quick release for fast bit changes, and the variable speed settings. It also comes with a lifetime warranty, which is a great plus.The only thing I have an issue with is the price for this unit. When compared to other tools in this category with similar features and quality, this tool actually costs more. In fact, you can pick up a DeWalt similar to this for less money.That being said, this is definitely a high quality tool that has many features, works well and is warrantied for life.
