Invaluable. Keep it on hand when on the go -- in case he experiences a(nother) low-sugar episode. Convenient and safe. Highly recommend this product, especially if your travel buddy doesn't know how to dose & administer insulin shots in an emergency.

I'm giving this a 5 star rating because I'm so thankful to have it and also thankful that we haven't had to use it. A few months ago, my husband gave us a terrible scare. He got up before me and got his coffee. I heard a noise and woke to find he had dropped his coffee cup and could not communicate with me at all. I called my son next door and he was here in a flash. We checked his blood sugar and it was 43. We called an ambulance and while they were traveling 30 miles to get here, our fire dept. EMT's arrived. They checked the blood sugar again and it was 20. He was completely out at that point. They used a glucose tube like this one trying to get his blood sugar up. It came up some, but he was still out. Ambulance arrived and loaded him up for transport to the hospital. He came to a little in the ambulance, but wasn't really out of danger for a couple of hours after they got him in the hospital. He was there overnight and came home fine the next day, but he could have died. I NEVER, EVER want to be without this product on hand. It could be the difference between life and death for a diabetic.

I bought these to restock a jump bag at work. I will not be "testing" these for an Amazon review. But if for some reason I give these to a hypoglycemic person and they hate the flavor, I will let you know. By the way, I do have personal knowledge that the Lemon flavor Glutose 15 is disgusting. It's like mushing gelatinous battery acid around your mouth. I also have used Glutose gel several times in the field. It works fine, just make sure the patient can follow commands and swallow effectively, unless you want to break out the suction equipment. This does not make an effective intimate personal lubricant either, unless you like sticky balls.

Great for first aid kit

Great source of glucose, I love the flavor. I have always refused to use this type of glucose until I found this flavor.

I will carry these with me as I am a traffic monitor for local parades and runs. I have seen two occasions where low blood sugar led to a medical emergency. I am now better prepared to help.

Arrived on time and as described. The tubes fit nicely in my med box. And it's relatively inexpensive for three tubes
