Can vary in certain traits but ultimately worthwile
I've been using this litter for about 4 months now after doing a lot of research. I have a kitty who unfortunately suffers from allergies and frequently uses the litter box, so my main interest was in something that wouldn't upset her if she cleaned herself and didn't track too much. This fit the bill pretty well. It doesn't track as much as other litters I've tried, it absorbs odours and fluids well, and it's lasted. What's also nice is that the litter doesn't disintegrate into dust like corn or wood litter, so if you're like me and have a kitty who loves to dip their paws in water after being in the litter box (drives me nuts constantly refilling their bowl), this won't turn the water into mush or get ground into the carpet. However I have found that each time I ordered litter the quality varied slightly, the first order the litter didn't clump very well, the second order the litter produced a lot of dust etc. These are things I'm happy to live with because of the above perks.Due to the litter being dark brown, I think you're a lot more likely to notice dust from this litter than others. However even with the above mentioned dustier litter I got, I haven't found the walnut litter to be especially dusty compared to say, clay. For people concerned about it staining your cats white fur, I have a solid white fluffy maine coon and it hasn't affected her fur colour. I can see it being a problem though if you've got a cat who isn't especially good at cleaning up after themselves due to age or personality.

Ok
So far I haven’t found it any better then my old litter. Does clump, but I find it can break apart, so I find I’m sieving through the litter for much longer to get all the clumps out. It doesn’t always stop smell - but that depends on how much my cat decides to spend covering her poop. I find the smell of walnut and her toileting strange (but that’s a personal thing). The bit that frustrates me the most though is how much comes out of her litter box when she leaves. It is everywhere! I am not sure if it is my little tray which allows her to carry so much out, but I have to sweep twice a day to pick it all up, and there is loads!I will continue using just because it’s organic. I have only been using for 2 weeks so the longevity might also sway my opinion on the long run.

Great product, clumps well, no odours and no chemicals
Been using this product for a year or so, its odourless, clumps very well and all natural. However won't buy from Amazon again, as having ordered 2 x 6kg bags, only 1 arrived. Had the bag replaced, but the bags also arrived with damp, already clumped product. Can only think Amazon are storing the product in damp conditions. Now having to buy elsewhere.

Good clumping
Clumps together really well and then just a matter of flushing away

This stuff is great!
I’ll never go back to clay/chemical filled cat litter. This is natural walnut shells and clumps great. Way less dust/chemicals so MUCH better for your cat as the breathe a lot of that dust in everyday as they move the sand around. It clumps Fantastically well. It travels around the house just as much as any litter, BUT, it dosent turn into dust and become one with the carpet if it takes a few days to vacuum. This litter holds its shape so when you hoover it is actually cleaned up easily. I’d highly suggest people give it a try. No weird smell either. My cats also had no issue switching from a clumping clay cat litter. Cats can be fussy about new litter but this seems to be similar enough to clay that no special effort was needed.

There are better litters
Ordered this when the usual one I get was out of stock, it was a mistake. It clumped well but it smelled so bad after a week I had to replace the whole tray contents. Tracking and dust was terrible. Won’t be ordering again. Have bought my usual from another supplier.

Expensive, but very economical
This is, hands down, the best cat litter I have ever bought: since discovering it, I've never bought anything else.Yes, it's a big initial expense, but a tray of this lasts such a long time that it works out to be much better value for money than cheaper brands. The litter consists of crushed, milled walnut shells: it smells pleasant and there are no sharp edges which might hurt reluctant paws. It clumps around whatever your cat deposits in it: once you've removed the clump, the litter which is left is as good as new. The level in the tray will gradually go down, but you never get the eye-watering, ammonia sludge at the bottom of the tray that you do with a lot of other products.

Best I have tried, sticking with this one!
I have tried many different types of litter and prefer the clumping variety and since I found the flushable ones I have stuck with those. Natures calling I would say is best because of the following:●Its kind to your cats paws and not as dusty so will not get into their eyes.●It is the best I have found for neutralising odours just make sure you have enough in the tray, this goes for any litter though.●It doesn't track as much as others I've tried, again all will track a bit and a litter mat will help.●It is a lot cheaper than other similar types and lasts longer.●It forms better clumps than others and is flushable. The only thing I would add is that it covers odours well because it seems the clumps go to the bottom of the tray unless my kitty's are good diggers! So just keep that in mind if you are doing a scoop in the early morning dash before work as I am, you need to make sure you get it all out or your cat will be put off using the tray as their sense of smell is so much better than ours. Occasionally I get bits breaking up maybe the clumps or me being to vigorous, now I use a scoop with smaller holes. It is very dark so could potentially make it impossible to see changes in your cats urine but generally I think you can still see any differences in poops eg mucous etc (sorry but had to say).Overall great quality litter sometimes cheaper here sometimes have to get via another pet supplier sorry amazon but I will not be going back to any other litter after using this for many months. Definitely recommend to family and friends.
