A lot for your money compared to other
Have had different cat toys, including the Gone Fishin' which cost me about $50, and lasted all of 3 weeks. This is a great toy - a lot of use for about 4 days, 3 cats. We are on the first of several toys. We have to keep tying it on, and the string could be a bit longer, but you can't beat this, especially for the money. The cats all love them, great way to keep them exercised and entertained!!! I am hoping it lasts, because they are having too much fun chasing, jumping, kicking and gnawing on the toys!!Update:For $10, we definitely got our money's worth - lasted a few months before it had to be replaced. A lot of fun, but in terms of sturdiness, the string has to be replaced relatively quickly, as it gets shorter & shorter / wrapped around the pole. Use your fingernails to try to wiggle the knots and loosen them - patience. The telescopingon the pole broke fairly quickly, but you really don't need it to telescope, we just used it in the extended position. 3 cats, daily - running, jumping, rolling, pulling, and gnawing. The best part of the toy is the attachable little fish with ribbons - the cats go crazy. They are only slightly interested in the other toys, but still a good way to keep them entertained .

Cat LOVE IT! But….
Cats absolutely Love this fishing rod Per se. The rotted self is long enough so the cats don’t come close to Scratching your arm But also it swings enough distance you can almost cast it like a real fishing rod. Cats loved it so much they broke it within a week but it’s only because they chewed through the string

LOVE THIS WAND!
The wand is great - although the metal tip did fling off (not the best glue was used). We have applied gorilla super glue to reattach it and will see if that works. The hook to attach toys is not the easiest open, but that probably is best for safety of the pet. It is the better clasp. Not the one many use to attach keychains and such, so it is light and I don't have to worry about it hurting my cat if it hits him during play. He loves the fish toy and feathers that came with it, but the others are very cruddy quality. I bought this specifically for the wand though -which is great. Very easy to handle, feels sturdy. The line is clear (like thick fishing line, so doesn't distract my cat from the main toy. He is 10lbs and a jumper, so it gets pulled out of my hand constantly and tugged on, the line shows no signs of damage after weeks of rough, daily use. I've dropped it a few times and, so far, no damage and the rod seems to absorb the shock really well. I don't expect it to break easily. Wand is 14 3/4" unextended, 37 1/4" fully extended, if anyone needs that. The toy shown attached did not come with the wand. This from another package of attachment toys on Amazon (which is great quality, btw).

NOPE.
Very long, so buckle in. Worth the read though if you’re here for the wand toy.Just for context- I already bought this set once last January. After accidentally vacuuming the wand toy and it being totally busted, I ordered the set again because it was my cats favorite toy.It was great the first time, but this one seemed cheaper in every way. Last time, the string was attached to the wand w/the same kind of clip you attach the toy with. This time, the string was just tied on. We were constantly re-attaching it.Today, the wand just snapped. This one feels way cheaper than the first one I got. It only lasted 3 months, where the last wand toy lasted a year, and was broken by a person, not just from being poorly made. On top of that, the pink fish was sewn pretty badly. Yes there’s now a hole from the cat playing with it, but the stitches were loose and there was a small opening when I first got it out of the package. The feather attachment on the first one was fine. This one, the feathers were constantly falling out without it even being played with, AND in less than a month, the loop string that attaches it to the wand snapped. What changed with the quality, from the other me I bough last year to the one I bought this year? Definitely not made the same. The small mice, catnip fish, and the foil balls are fine, but the wand is just junk. Which is disappointing, bc, y’know, I literally bought this set again JUST for the wand. Not ordering again though, I’ll just have to find a better one elsewhere. We’ll make due for now(see the 3rd picture.)

My cat and I are enjoying this toy
I like the wand. It has a firm foam grip that feels like cork. I like that it telescopes because I store it on a bookcase shelf. My string is not clear monofilament like another reviewer mentioned. Mine is black cord, probably nylon. The swivel, just like you see on fishing poles, is great because I can fully control whatever toy is attached and never get tangles. I am not able to open the connector so I'm having to use a safety pin to attach toys. Unlike others my cat is completely disinterested in the large fish. He is a catnip fan so I assume our fish didn't get any catnip. I hope it lasts, it feels pretty flimsy.

Best cat toy I've bought so far!
Love, love, LOVE the fishing pole!!! And so do my cats! So far it's their favorite toy. Gives them plenty of exercise with very little effort on my part, and we all have a blast. (And you can't beat the price.) It's so long that it reaches practically across the room, and you can change up the movements to make it interesting. I had one already from a different seller and purchased this one just in case the other one breaks at some point, so I have a replacement on hand. But I actually like this one better, though it's very similar to the first one. Specifically, my cats like the mouse that attaches to it better than the feathers on my old one (and they loved that one).If you have a cat, you definitely need to buy one of these fishing poles. The other toys are just an added bonus.

High quality, lots of variety
The pole is really well made and can definitely handle cats tugging at the toy on the end. Excellent assortment of toys!
