It's definitely a practical choice if you're looking for something reliable without unnecessary frills.The black finish looks modern & neat, so it doesn’t feel like an eyesore. It's got a bit of an industrial vibe but in a subtle way. The non-slip feature is a nice touch too, making it safe to grip even if your hands are wet or the weather is a bit grim when used outdoors. The rail itself feels durable & solid, so it seems like it'll hold up to daily use.On the downside, the fittings could be a bit better. I replaced the rawl & screws with ones that are slightly longer, so depending on your wall type, you might want to replace them with something else to ensure it stays securely in place. Also, it’s worth double-checking the dimensions to ensure it fits your space, as 1.5m might not be enough for longer staircases.Overall, it does what it's meant to – adds a safe & steady grip where you need it most. I was somewhat apprehensive about the industrial black finish at first, but it matches remarkably well with the surrounding décor, adding a surprising touch of refinement. It's especially appreciated by my nine-year-old daughter and three-year-old son when navigating the stairs, providing an extra layer of safety. The feel and sturdiness of the rail certainly give peace of mind, although I found the diameter slightly smaller than expected. Despite a snug fit, it's managed to hold its ground.
