It gets hot quickly in the #5 setting. This item is outstanding at the price. I’ve totally enjoyed making various dishes. Just be sure to know which items should go in first for the longest cooking times & that add your remaining items with their appropriate suggestions in your recipe..

Good price. Lite weight easy to clean. We use it nearly everyday. Good size for family meal. Heats quickly and non-stick.

I received my electric skillet today and was excited. My stove stopped working and I needed something to help me get by until the stove in my apartment is repaired.--The first thing I found when I tried to put the lid together was that the plastic part shattered. I have weak hands and normally have no issues with things breaking. I reached out to customer service so I hope they replace that part, but even if they don't I can order a new lid. the one I have works, but the handle is very wobbly because it is missing the plastic insert now. I saw that someone else had a similar experience with the lid. I was going to blame it on the cold weather, but that person had it break in July so it might just be the plastic piece is not strongly made so be careful when you screw the handle onto the lid.--When I tried to plug in the cord, the heating element prongs were off-kilter so I had to work with it a bit before it finally slipped into place. I was starting to have doubts but it cooked the food well enough. I will test other things in it but it cooks evenly and will be a great help.

I was so excited when I got this, it's pretty and I hadnt had one in awhile. I used it once and was disappointed. The way it heats it one extreme to the other making it hard to cook it was barely warm then when the element kicked on it would scorch the food quickly. It's also shallow so when you cook something with alot of liquid it sloshes over the sides and the amount of food you can cook is minimal, I'm only cooking for 2 but had to switch to a standard pot to finish cooking the meal I was cooking. It was not expensive so I am keeping it and I'm sure I can find some uses for it.

This is the best money I have spend all year. The pan has very even heat and I cook with it every day. Meals take ;less than 10 minutes, always. I have uploaded a picture of the surface after cooking over 20 meals.

Worked really well for stir fry (my specialty) though my first attempt I added the sauce too soon and ended up burning a bit, so my second try I added the sauce at the very end after reducing the heat. The pan was easy to clean even with the burnt sauce sticking to the bottom. A little dish soap and mild scrubbing cleaned up the pan with no effort. Really excellent value. The cons: the warm setting seemed like it still was hot enough to keep the food sizzling at the lowest setting, though it seemed to calm down after 5 or 6 minutes. It did not cause the food to burn so that is a plus. Also, the handles seem flimsy and somewhat sharp on the edges where you’d pick up the pan. I don’t think I’d attempt to pick this up if it was full of hot food.I hope to get lots of use out of this. I’ll update this review as needed.
