The cake is larger then pictured. Easily 6" high. Tastes is delicious like homemade. Very colorful. Comes packaged extremely well wrapped in plasic and dry ice. Sturdy Davids box Inside a Styrofoam container . This is my fourth purchase of David's cakes and muffins. It's well worth the cost you won't be sorry and they freeze well until needed. Pre sliced is a plus. This is my go to dessert for parties. Everyone asked where l get these cakes from.

I hate paying this much for a cake but when I say it's worth every bite, it's it's worth every bite!! And it has like 12 slices or more. It's a fairly large cake and three layer as well. So you would not have to get 2 for special occasions just so everyone can get a bite lol. Love this cake..and it's beautiful 😍

To be honest, I was always too nervous that something would go wrong (like the cake would be stale, or smashed or it just wouldn't live up to the photo) and I'd regret ordering. So I read through the reviews, looked at all of the review photos, and decided to take a chance. Well, I'm incredibly glad I did!David's Cookies makes a gorgeous cake! The vibrantly beautiful colors of this cake, and its overall appearance were a 100% match with the Amazon photo. I was so happy about that!The shipping time (2 days) and the way the cake was very carefully packed, ensured that the cake was in perfect condition when I received it.Now for the taste: this cake was fantastic!You never know exactly what a cake will taste like, other than the fact that it's a vanilla cake. So you can't know if the flavors will suit your particular taste, but for me, this cake was really really good. It's got a lot of frosting, and I was somewhat worried it might taste a little too sweet, and overpower the flavor of the cake. That was not the case at all, it was perfect! The frosting was sweet, but it was a more subtle sweetness when compared with store bought buttercream frosting. The cake was able to hold its own, and was complemented by the frosting.The texture of the cake was wonderful too. It was dense enough not to fall apart, but was nice and moist at the same time. It tasted just as fresh as any bakery cake I've ever ordered.I just appreciated everything about this order; from the ordering and shipping process, all the way to the enjoyment of seeing the cake and eating it.So whether you're buying this cake for yourself and your family, or as a gift, I think you'll be very pleased with your order!

I have bought this cake twice as I absolutely love carrot cake this one is scrumptious and packed to perfection. The only reason why I knocked a star off is because in the description they say there are raisins in it. There are no raisins in it. Either take that out of the description please or start putting raisins in the carrot cake. Other than that it’s always fresh and the icing is to die for

I really didn't know what to expect being I ordered off of Amazon. But I took a risk. And don't regret it. It's very tasty and my kids enjoyed it even more. Planning on buying again really soon 🥰

I thought this cake was a little pricey but was so busy this Christmas I didn't have time to bake so I thought why not and hoped it would not be dry or stale. Oh boy was I happy.! This cake was moist and everyone love it!

I don't really do reviews and I usually only do "bad" ones for really awful customer service. This situation is interesting because the packaging and delivery were beyond exceptional, the cake however was not :'(. The reviews were very good and the cake was so expensive I thought it would be wonderful but it wasn't. It was huge and certainly looked beautiful, but was very low on actual carrot, had no raisins or nuts or any texture, or unique, homemade, deliciousness of any kind. It was not rich or moist. It had a very cheap over sweetness to it and the frosting was kind of like this as well. The frosting was oddly too tangy and I'm not quite sure why. It was perfectly thawed but has a firm yet dry consistency which is very strange. Too much of some ingredients and not enough of others is my guess. I attribute it to the butter quality and quantity possibly as I'm a baker myself. I chopped some nuts I had just to try to give it something but it didn't work too great. I have about half the cake left and it's a big bummer because I have to force myself to eat it :/. I'm sorry to leave such a bad review but it is the least favorite Carrot Cake I have had. It was packaged and shipped exceptionally like I said, but for over 50 dollars what's the point if it isn't appetizing to you? Bumskies :(
