I am not a huge fan of this one cup filter. I own the one cup by Melita and I prefer that design better. I took it on vacation and used it daily for a week. What I initially liked about this filter was that it was stainless steel and did not require any paper filters, but that is what makes it not such a great tool. It harder to clean as the coffee ground stick to the side of the filter and are harder to get out when wet or even dry. I hate to have ground going down my sink and clogging it up, so I ended up using a paper filter by watering it down a little to get it to conform to the round cone.Now after some use the little rubber holder falls off easily and forget trying to get the rubber seal on the bottom of the filter back on. That is totally useless now and the base will slide around on the cup. You must be every careful when using it.Extremely disappointed in this One Cup filter. Sad! I was really hoping to replace my Melita One cup, but now have stored this one for travel and camping trips. My Melita One Cup is my main way of making my coffee on a daily basis.

I took this on a trip to Europe to use in the hotel room. It was very handy and made good coffee...actually I tore open a Kcup and poured the grains into the cone because it was easier to transport and no measuring or mess was involved. I gave 4 stars because you have to be very careful when you use it depending on how big the cup opening is. It was a bit large to fit the cup I had and I had to be very careful not to knock it off the cup. I was using it with a number 2 paper filter, but found that using the little brush to clean it worked good enough. One Kcup is about the perfect measure for good coffee. Unfortunately I had to ditch it in the hotel room because I bought too much stuff and couldn't fit it into my carry on. If I go to Europe again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

I now have made several cups of coffee with this filter, using both fine and medium grind coffee. This filter is well designed, well made, and makes very good coffee using the simple pour-over process. It is easy to clean by dumping the grounds, rinsing the stainless filter assembly, and using the soft cleaning brush sent with the filter. I use reverse osmosis water so have no issues with hard water deposits. If I had hard water, I might have to hand dry the filter after each cleaning to prevent clogging. With the soft water, I simply let it air dry. I like this filter and feel that it is an excellent value.

I asked questions since many had posted concerns about this and related products; works great --either as-in or with filters. I've been using up my filters, since I don't have running water in my office, and that saves me trip down the hall to clean it. If you clean it promptly (even withing a few hours), it comes out spick and span / clean. My only gripe / suggestion for improvement would be to design it so the two parts (cone filter and wire holder) that merely sit inside each other, instead ATTACH SECURELY so it would be easier to pick it up, move it, etc. w/o the two parts falling apart/spilling coffee. 5 stars

I bought this item several months ago and was so excited to get a filtering system that would be zero waste. When I first started using it, it was great! Great tasting coffee in little time, clean up was easy (is it seemed). However, after a few months the filtering time grew longer and longer. It seems like there must be some sort of clog within the walls of the funnel which cannot be cleaned out. Now it’s gotten to the point where I wait at least 10-15 min for it to filter halfway and get 1/4 cup of coffee before I have to repeat the process. I never get full cups out of it anymore. This would be a 5 star product if it kept up how it started!

This product worked great. The mesh is fine enough to keep grounds out of your coffee. You don't need to use paper filters! Good quality and well constructed. Lightweight, too. I use it for camping/backpacking both for coffee and for straining water before treatment. It does get hot and the little rubber tab comes off the metal tab underneath - I think for cleaning. But I ended up losing it. Good quality and value.

Great for traveling! You can always get hot water but you can't always find good coffee! So bring your own along with this gadget so you don't have to drink your relatives coffee. P.S. It does NOT require filters!

I have to admit, I hated this when I first got it. It was unstable, I almost burnt my hand because the base and filter separate so easily, and the little silicone grip kept coming off. After using gorilla glue around the entire circular top, voila!! Ditto for the silicone grip. Now it's an all-in-one unit! (I just don't put it in the dishwasher.) Not sure why the manufacturer didn't think to make it one unit!
