Product good, instructions so so
I used this to increase the frosted glass effect on a door. The window on the door has mostly frosted panes but a couple of small clear squares that people could peer through. Adding this worked well to obscure those squares but keep the original design. This film was slightly more difficult to use than another brand I used in our bathroom, but the end result was excellent. I suggest 1. use water with some detergent 2. use a cloth to wet the window rather than a spray bottle, and keep it handy while applying because you may need to rewet the edges 3. use tape on either side to remove the backing 4. be sure to apply the smooth side to the window, the textured side will not stick 5. press it in place and if it rolls up on the edges, rewet and repress. It will take. If I were doing this on a larger window, I think I would unroll what I needed and flatten it under some books overnight. The only difficulty is that this is a nice thick textured film and that has been rolled up, so it wants to curl again. However, with some patience, it works very well and the end result is perfect.

REMOVE THE CLEAR BACKING
This window film is great...once you remove the clear backing. You can't see it or feel it, so use the provided sticker to try and peel it off. The problem is when you trim your piece but have leftover that you'd like to use for another window application. I tried to re-use the sticker, but without the super strong adhesive bond, it makes it really difficult. So, use your nail to curl the end and you'll see the clear film begin to separate from the window covering.Without removing this clear film, the cling will not stick to the window. So, if you're having trouble getting it to stick, you haven't removed the film. After that, use a ton of soapy water and the cling adheres nicely!

Waste of money
The media could not be loaded. This is the worst window treatment stuff I’ve ever used. It doesn’t stick at all. I’ve done 4 rooms of my house with different types and haven’t had issues until this kind. It doesn’t stick, no matter how much water you try to use it peels right off. Even the bottom edge peels against gravity and peels up. Don’t waste your money.

People think the door glass came this way!
We live in a century home. The bathroom has a pebbly, privacy glass exterior window and a door with a window that leads to what used to be an airing porch for blankets and rugs. We’ve turned the airing porch into my home office. For privacy we installed this window film on the office side of the door, leaving the bathroom side smooth, like the exterior window. It looks fantastic and is a near-match with the existing window. Installation on a vertical surface is challenging and took three tries to get it close to perfect, but it was worth the effort. We do have one cat hair between the glass the the film; in a historic home, it’s a preservation of occupant history :-)

Good for blocking unwanted views
Once upon a time, my boss rearranged our department seating. I ended up with the office in front of the restrooms. My chair faced the restrooms. I could see everyone on my floor enter and exit the restroom, and often made uncomfortable eye contact. I unintentionally knew who went and for how long. It was awful! So I purchased this frosted film to cover my view through the glass wall. The material was a little stretchy, so when squeegeeing out to the edges/corners, sometimes it made ripples that wouldn't stick to the glass. The perfectionist in me hated that, but everyone else thought it looked wonderful and in the end we were all happy to put an end to the post-poop eye contact. It stayed in place for a few years, functioning as intended, and then covid struck and I have been working from home ever since.
