This has been a great replacement to the old plastic reusable tray I had. With 8 cats in our house, litter pans take a beating! We had the plastic one for about a year and thought it was great, it was way cheaper then the throw away ones so thats always a win, win that is UNTIL you keep smelling cat pee even after it’s been cleaned.. The crystal litter starts getting stuck to the bottom of the tray because the plastic shine like coating has been eaten off by the ammonia/acidity in the cats urine, thats the moment you realize your getting a new pan because that smell is stuck in the plastic.We choose to change from plastic to stainless steel because stainless is not supposed to hold smell (so far so good), typically keeps a smooth surface and no pitting (time will tell) easy to clean and won’t get weak and break like plastic and I am sure many others I haven’t found yet.We have chosen not to use the magnetic bar they included, I find it to be one more thing to get dirty and needs to be cleaned not to mention it doesn’t really do much, or at least to me it doesn’t.

This fit my cat's litter box perfect. And it is a money saver in the long run so I don't have to keep replacing the cardboard box ones so often. Not to mention that I couldn't get those ones without buying their not so great litter which was a waste money. So this was a problem solver for sure!

This is going to work great

I have had the petsafe litter pan for years and always hated the cardboard trays and I was looking for an alternative. This works great. The metal is solid, I had no issues when my arrived, no dents or anything like that. This fits the top of the self-cleaning litter pan perfectly.My only concern is the "L" shaped piece that connects to the magnets feels like it will come off easily, so far it hasn't but I could see how it could.I don't know if I like the kitty litter that came with this, it kicked up dust when I poured it in but it does keep the odor at a minimum.I think my favorite thing is that I'm hoping this will lead to less waste.

Nice product

I have used the petsafe self cleaning litter box for around 14 years, the plastic reusable trays that Cost about the same, over time absorb urine and stays in the plastic. This stainless steel type will last forever and easy to clean. 5 stars, nothing to complain about.

It's so incredibly satisfying replacing that gross plastic one with this. I can actually get this one CLEAN where as the plastic one smelled like cat urine within a week of installing it. Just something that makes me feel so much better about filling a perfectly clean tray.
