Kidding of course, but I'm amazed by how well packaged this unassembled unit was. There is quite literally a hundred or more square feet of bubble wrap, enough to wrap and pack every delicate plate ot nick-nack in your home. That and lots of cardboard and corner protection. Out fire pit arrived in flawlessly perfect condition which is a testament to how well it was packed and to its FedEx delivery. Great job guys! Now for the fire pit itself: as mentioned it's perfect. There's not a dent or a scratch on it. Directions are in clear English and well illustrated. Assembly was easy and everything fit just fine. It does take a bit of time, but you'll spend more time unwrapping components that you will putting things together. Individual components are lightweight, but the completed assembly is pretty heavy, probably around fifty pounds. It's entirely made of sheet metal that's had a coat of paint. And herein lies the biggest drawback, this thing is gonna rust before your eyes. We live in South Dakota and we get our share of snow. This thing is so big that we simply don't have room to get it out of the weather. We bought a cover and we intend to use it, but odds are that between the fires and the weather, this fire pit will be junk within a few years. But hey, it's cheap, and look at all that bubble wrap you're gonna get. It's also very nice looking and extremely well engineered. In some areas of the country it could last a long time.

The hood came dented. It's kinda annoying, but I don't mind too much. I'm just happy that I have a nice looking chiminea/fire pit. If the seller sees this and attempts to address the issue, I'll update this review.Directions are easy to follow - took me about an hour to assemble. It's lightweight, so it's easy to move after assembly. The right door swings all the way out, but the left door stops about halfway; I wish it would swing all the way out like the right door. Also, the top door latch is really tight and prevents you from lowering it all the way, so you have to loosen the screw to make it work properly.Aside from all that, I like it a lot. It's the perfect size for my patio setup, and it's so cool that I'll be able to use it as both a fire pit for keeping warm during the winter and a grill for cooking year-round. I'm looking forward to experimenting with different woods for both aromatics and smoking. And if I didn't emphasize this enough, it just looks nice. The matching vinyl cover that's sold separately is also worth buying.It's easy to assemble, but I would recommend using your own tools. If you don't have, it's worth investing in some cheap ratcheting tools; makes it much easier. Tighten the legs/feet when you put them on, but do not tighten anything else until you get to the step where you put the swinging doors on (tighten everything before installing the doors). Same with the hood - don't tighten any part of the hood until you have all four screws inserted.

I bought this because it is so much different than most other fire pits. It actually looks AWESOME on the patio. I'm a very mechanically inclined person so assembly was no problem for me. It took me about 10-15 minutes to unpack everything and 45 minutes to completely assemble. Now because this is a "China Special", I used LocTite thread locker on every screw and nut while assembling this to make absolutely sure nothing comes loose over time.I haven't used it yet, but I have sent pics, the same ones that are attached here, to multiple friends who knew I bought it and they are excited to come over and chill around the fire pit at night with me.I am very much looking forward to chilling by the fire with smooth jazz playing and just watch the flames dance.I am VERY Pleased with my purchase and the final product.

The material is so flimsy I can't see it surviving many fires or much humidity.Assembly is a nightmare unless you have a team of three. The parts don't fit together properly, and they supply screws so tiny that holding them hides the hole that they are trying to go into, and it's really hard to see what you're doing anyway, using little black screws to connect a black thing to another black thing. To make it worse, it wobbles about all the time because the screw holes are not flush to the surface but stick out. Nearly all of the screw holes are right up against a flange or some other obstruction making everything even more impossible. They say wear protective gloves while assembling because of sharp edges but that's a joke. Assembling is very difficult when you can feel what you're holding. With gloves, no chance. And due to the crude manufacture the doors only stay closed when a small latch is engaged. How is that going to be done when it is hot from a fire blazing inside?

Great fire place and easy to put together

Love my new outdoor fireplace. Assembled easily for this 65 yo young lady. I added an electric fireplace to it and it fits beautifully. Happy I can use it with wood too if I want. Great price and value. Looks beautiful.
