Kate had spent much time and indeed travelled far in her production of this book and it is a real enlightenment for any who think 'A dog is just a dog'! The scope and intelligence of them and what can be achieved by them with training and love is truly remarkable. No matter how hard bitten (no pun intended!) a person you are or even 'anti dog' you cannot fail to be touched by the experiences Kate relates, and for some you will need tissues handy.! An excellent read all round.

Think I've already commented on this book. Bought a copy for my son who is a dog lover and he enjoyed it too. Recommend it to anyone who loves dogs and is interested in their behaviour. Kate Humble at her best.

Thoroughly enjoyable read, especially if you love dogs. They are extraordinary creatures, more loyal and loving than anyone can imagine. I laughed, cried and was amazed by their skills. Definitely recommended.

I loved this book & am glad I read it after watching Kate's show - My Sheepdog & Me. Excuse the pun but it was very humbling to read about the very clever assistance & detection dogs.

Gave this to my penfriend who is training as a dog trainer while serving her prison sentence, she really loves it. Kate Humble is a brilliant writer and so easy to relate to.
