Draw string does work.sits on head like a loose bag
It doesn’t get hot enough, the draw string doesn’t work to pull it closed around your head, but it gets the job down for deep conditioning.

Good product
Read the reviews of some being delivered used, funny smell, not hot enough, etc. Mine was new, and gets warm enough on the highest temperature. I keep it on about 30 mins at a time, and it has never lost heat. It does have a unique smell, but it's because of whatever plastic is used. Hot plastic probably does not smell good anywhere. Lol. The only "con" I could mention is that the heat settings were not in English. Easy enough to use and figure out that it's defaulted to the off position. First click is low, second click is high.

Do not waste your money
I was already a little apprehensive after reading reviews, but along with the bad, there were still decent reviews. I wanted to use this with not only deep conditioning, but also setting my henna on my hair. When I opened the plastic the cap was wrapped in, there was this horrible chemical smell that filled the entire room (a 20x20 area). My husband had me move it so that we could clear out the smell and said if I even attempted to use it on my hair and he had to smell it all night, I was not sleeping in our room (and I definitely can't blame him because I already vowed if the smell didn't go away, I wouldn't use it). Well, three days later, the smell was just as horrible. I was debating if I could come up with an idea on how to clean it (there are no instructions included, and the switch to adjust the temperature is in Chinese). Well, while I was debating if I was willing to call all my friends who are cosmetologists to come up with an idea for cleaning, I decided to plug it in and see if the heat would work. In less than five minutes, the cap smelled like it was burning/melting. Needless to say, I immediately unplugged it and filed to return.I have used these types of caps for several years because it really helps with my henna if used to help set. This takes about an hour or sometimes two, depending on how long I have been neglecting reapplying my henna. Then I rinse out my henna and do a deep conditioner for an additional 30 minutes. The one I was replacing would work great for all these applications. This one, however, makes me think I would most likely lose my hair because of an electrical fire. Don't waste your money. Invest more, you won't regret it.

Bad quality
After using it for a little over a month, the top of the hat burned a hole when it was heated. It feels unsafe.
