When I was growing up VO-5 was the bomb of shampoos. It was affordable and smelled good. I believe strawberry flavor was the go to fragrance. Cleaned your hair and it felt great to run your fingers through.

VO5 super cheap. Nice smell. The purple is great for blonde hair.

Good value and a nice lathering shampoo that leaves hair feeling clean. I am a Master Gardner of over 40 years, and this smells nothing like the fragrant heavenly Freesia plant or flower, in fact it smells faintly like some kind of overly ripped fruit I would put out to attract butterfly'sThis is why I only gave 3 stars. I don't like it when a manufacturer tries to mislead by fragrance for it's obvious, they don't clearly know what scent they are describing. while not an awful smell not something I wish to smell of. so if you don't like a ripe fruit smell look for a different scent, Violet or Lavender perhaps
