Metal body solar lanterns that are a little bit different. I've charged them indoors only, next to a large window. They come on as soon as the light fades outside.There is a switch to change the light from a warm white to a cool white, brilliant!I am not going to leave these outside, as they are so nice, they'll only be used for evenings in the garden.

This is easily removed if you prefer to just stand the lanterns rather than hang them.The look and design of the lanterns is great and it’s just a shame they don’t offer just a bit more illumination to make them truly stand out and create a more patterned effect to the surrounding area when lit up at night.Price wise at nearly £10 I think they’re a little bit expensive for what they are but they do like nice hanging in the garden.

These lights look and feel really well made, with nice materials. With a proper metal body and rope to hang them they feel really well made. The light effect is is nice and after a couple of hours in direct light they lasted all through the night and were still lit up at 5am when I woke up. Everything about these feels quality and I would say excellent value for money

As per the headline, these are very much for decoration, though once the sun is truly down they do illuminate a small area around them though their patterning.The light units themselves are removable disks from the top with the solar collector on the top and two small LEDs on the underside (one white, one orange), along with a rubberised switch. The switch is labelled on and off, but actually off is the middle setting, with one direction being the white LED and the other the orange one.There is not actually that much difference in shading between the two forms of light, presently I'm going to keep each lantern different.The ropes handles are thick gardening twine and should last. There are clips at each end so they can be removed, allowing the lanterns to be placed on a surface without the straps looking untidy.The lanterns feel like they are made of cheap stamped 'white' metal, but this does mean they are light weight. The finish looks aged, I think this is by design.The lights are not perfect and there is a little tattiness to them, but once up and especially at night, you will not notice.

This is one of those things that is constructed well and does what it says it'll do, so I don't feel as though I can rate this too low, but ultimately I don't think that this is this worth the current price.If the pricing was more competitive, I'd definitely go up a star.
