I bought this to power an older external hard drive. I had the voltage rating, so this variable supply with numerous adaptors was perfect! This will come in handy for many older devices where the input plug might not be familiar.I recommend this item.

I bought this power adapter to use for electronics testing, but it is not as powerful or adjustable as I hoped it would be. I don't like that I need to switch to the USB outlet to access lower voltages either. I have found that it is nice as a universal power cord for charging devices. Once it is set up with the right tip and voltage it works fine as a standard charging cord, but you still need to select the right voltage, unlike other charger kits I have bought.

I recently picked up a small distortion pedal and it did not come with a power supply. Thankfully, this power supply kit saved the day! Great selection of tip and polarity options are included. The standard US plug holds on securely in the wall and a power strip. We haven't noticed any overheating or power surging. It holds up well for long jam sessions and the thin form factor makes it a must have for using with the pedal board power strip. I'm very happy with it.

Kit comes with an array of adapters for sizes and one for inverting polarity. 5V use requires using the supplied USB-A to barrel adapter. With the exception of the 6V output (measured 6.22V) all other voltage levels were within 1%. I did not have a load to test the 36W claim. Selector arrow was a little cumbersome to read and set (finer print but the arrow does have detents).
