Thin Lizzy - Life Live 1993 Metal Blade Remaster
As a long term Thin Lizzy fan, you'll forgive me if I'm a little biased. This is a great follow on from the 1978 Live & Dangerous release. This release is predominantly the best tracks from Thin Lizzy circa 1979-1983 releases played live, most Thin Lizzy fans will concur that the songs were always at their best when presented live. The songs motor along nicely and you can feel the energy and enthusiasm from the band. The 1993 Metal Blade remaster is superb, sound quality sharp, clear and Lynott's vocals are much better than the previous original recording cd reissue. If you like Live & Dangerous you'll love this, if you can find the Metal Blade remaster don't hesitate to buy it, I can't recommend this enough. Turn up the volume and enjoy.

Definitive document of LIZZY’s last call.
A small sonic upgrade over previous issues perhaps, at least that’s what the scuttlebutt has had me believe. I haven’t had the chance to properly A/B with the old Vertigo fatboy, the only previous issue I own, but it sounds decent so far. No major sonic revelations, no liners, no new photos, so a few blown opportunities there. The major upshot is that this invaluable document of lizzy’s final tour is back out there on the market, at least for now. If you don’t have it and are at all curious about thin lizzy beyond the limited scope of the admittedly regal jailbreak/live & dangerous era, pick it up ASAP!

Enjoyable!
This is as good as I remembered it to be. Not as good as Live And Dangerous, but still highly enjoyable! Lots of great songs, and they play it like they mean it! The sound is ok, but I would like to see(hear..) a remastered Version of this one. Many of the Lizzy- albums have come in New and bettered Versions, and Life/Live would gain from that too. But still: A great album!

A classic
A rerelease of this underrated live album. It does not sound remastered and there aren’t any notes stating it is. What you get is the same exact package as when it was originally released on LP forty years ago. This is from their last tour and features all of their legendary guitarists. Scott Gorham , John Sykes , Snowy White , Gary Moore , Brian Robertson and Eric Bell. An excellent career spanning setlist. If you’re a Lizzy fan then this is a must have.

Good addition to my collection.
Not as good as Live and Dangerous, but worth having.

Very Underrated Live Album
This live album shows that Phil Lynott holds the crowd in his hand - what a great front-man! In some live records, the effort comes out as sterile (Rush's "Exit Stage Left" comes to mind) but Phil and Lizzy bring the music and the crowd to life - hence the title? The eerie "Got to Give it Up" foretells Phil's problems and the ending "Rocker" with all the former guitar mates putting in their last licks is out of this world. Do not compare it to "Live and Dangerous" as that was from another era; this "Life" live album is a great snapshot of Lizzy in their waning years. I like this live recording better than the BBC Live from Redding recording of their last UK concert. Yes, "Cowboy Song" is missing and a star should be taken away but the whole package deserves Five Stars.

A terrific farewell
Thin Lizzy's farewll tour--a greatest hits live package. I've always preferred Lizzy's live offerings to their sometimes under-produced studio albums. If you like hot metal guitar solos, there are plenty here. Former Lizzy guitar studs Gary Moore and Brian Robertson make guest appearances. Check out John Sykes' solo on "Cold Sweat".Also check out "Live and Dangerous".

Thin Lizzy
This is a killer live album! It is a must have for anybody who loves the duo guitar sound. John Sykes is awesome!!The late great Phil Lynott was at his very best, just listen to "still in love" and you'll hear why.
