I have never been a lover of those big travel cases that hold passports, tickets, cards and money. Seems crazy to risk losing everything in one go but, as my wife discovered last year, keeping all credit cards and cash in one purse is a bad idea as well. She had her purse lifted on holiday abroad and lost all means of obtaining cash or paying bills. Lots of wasted time phoning banks and easy replacement impossible as we were touring. Expensive holiday for me as well!!After my wife's experience I thought about what I had in my wallet and although theft is less likely from a pocket it can still happen and I realised how much of a problem losing a wallet while touring would be. The result was the purchase of this item. I now have a small thin wallet which just contains one debit and one credit card plus some folding money. This little wallet contains remaining cards, driving licence, etc. plus loose change. The loss or theft of either would no longer be a major issue and have found that with summer clothes two small wallets in different pockets are a lot more practical than one large one while reducing the pickpocket risk.This wallet seems perfect for the job. It's soft leather so unlike some it is easy to open to get change out.. The zip pockets are perfect for cards and the one open pocket is OK for receipts. It also has a chain fitted which is intended as a key ring which can go into the main compartment. As the zip can be closed with it on the outside it can also be used to attach a security chain.I find reviews help my buying decisions.
