Best for small projects
Works great. Must bolt to sturdy table so you can pull leather evenly with both hands. Knive is sharp.

Takes a bit of setup, and DEFINITELY clamp or bolt to your work surface!! I felt it was a bit finicky to load the blade and place the top plate one, but it’s doable. Keep the Allen keys; there’s a lot of manual adjustment on this thing. Skivs leather perfectly well, but the working small is good for belts and small projects only. Perfect device if that’s what you’re working on.

I was looking for a smaller skiver I could use for small projects and this fits the bill. I like it comes with a clamp so you do not have to buy anything to be up and running. It works fine but make sure you only use it for small items like watch bands, bracelets, etc. You might have a problem with a really thick belt but for thinner things it will work fine. If you have a lot of smaller things to skive, this skiver will work fine and also take less bench space and cost less that the larger skivers.
